Waterfront! Hot Tub! Dog Friendly! "The Space Between". Waterfront location on the northwest side of San Juan Island with hot tub that overlooks Mosquito Pass. Enjoy watching the boat traffic and views of Henry Island from the spacious deck with access from the living room.
This cozy and eclectic 3-bedroom home comfortably sleeps 8 guests and includes one king bed, 1 full bed, 1 queen bed downstairs, and a sleeper sofa that pulls out into a double-sized bed if the kids need more space. Relax in the living room with cozy seating and enjoy the Smart TV or on the deck barbecuing or hot tubbing. (The fireplace is not for guest-use for safety reasons.) There are stairs to the mid bank waterfront to allow for quick access and enjoyment.
Soak in what the sea and sky have to reveal when coolin' your heels out on the deck with coffee or tea in hand. In Summer, Gray and Humpback whales are swinging by from Mexico, and turkey vultures fly in from as far away as Panama- but you can have an easier go of it, and even make it nearly carbon-free in your electric vehicle (Charge-up for free on site). In Winter, scan the water or listen for two types of sea lions, loons, or migratory Eagles.
The Wi-Fi has recently been upgraded to allow for multiple zoom meetings at once, and the distance from the contemporary hustle and bustle is getting smaller all the time. However: If your goal is to embrace the convergence of the wilderness and earthly comforts, all manner of seafaring along with intermittent but absolute silence, or a heavenly sunset by the firepit (firepit available in the off-season) while you still count yourself among the living, come and sit awhile.
This house does not have good cell phone reception, but the internet at this property will allow sufficient service for Wi-fi calling from your personal cell.
1 dog per reservation with a pet fee. The dog is not to be left unattended. If a dog is left unattended and a neighbor calls to complain, renter will be charged a $200 fee. Dog weight must be less than 60 lbs. No dog on furniture. The renter assumes responsibility for all extra cleaning needed such as emergency carpet cleaning, furniture replacement, and or emergency laundromat use for bulky items like comforters and pillows. The dog must be house trained and on-leash while outside.
Fire pits are not usable from May 1st-September 30th due to county burn ban and safety of property and neighboring areas. Ban is usually lifted October 1st if/when conditions and weather are favorable. Firewood bundles can be purchased at any grocery store on San Juan Island.
Please be advised, hot tub/yard maintenance may occur during your stay.
