The vacation home has a living area of 90 m² and offers many amenities to make your stay as relaxing as possible.
You can feel at home in the large, open-plan living room with integrated kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with all the essential utensils you need to prepare delicious meals. A coffee machine, kettle, microwave, stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster, etc. are available. With the large satellite TV in the living area, you can receive all kinds of programs. But rest assured, you will hardly use it. From the living room, a large sliding door leads directly to the first terrace.
There are two bedrooms in the property. In the large bedroom, you will find a comfortable 1.80 x 2.00 m bed with two high-quality mattresses in different degrees of firmness (soft/medium). The smaller bedroom is equipped with a comfortable 1.40 x 2.00 m box spring bed.
The bathroom is modern and furnished to a high standard. The stylish washbasin area has a permanently installed hairdryer, and a floor-level walk-in shower makes using it a real experience. A toilet is of course included. A first aid kit is available in a wall cabinet so that minor injuries can be treated immediately.
The reading room provides plenty of peace and relaxation on dull, rainy days. Here you will find a carefully selected range of literature to help you escape from everyday life. From the reading room, a large door leads to the second, covered terrace.
The property also has a utility room. You can use the permanently installed coat rack with hangers. You will also find a washing machine, dryer, clothes horse, ironing board, and iron.
The two terraces, one covered and sheltered from the wind, the other open, are perfect for enjoying the surrounding nature. Sunbathing or summer rain, the rustling of the trees, the splashing of the stream, birdsong, and so much more... The terraces have a seating area, tables, chairs, and sun loungers.
From the terrace, you can access the spacious natural surroundings. On hot days, you can cool off by walking barefoot through the stream. Or you can simply take a few steps away from the property and find yourself on the nearest forest path, ready to start a hike full of discoveries through the Thuringian Forest. There is a badminton set in the closet in the hallway, which you can use on the adjacent lawn.
Neighborhood:
The Rehblick vacation home is located in an idyllic ensemble with three other houses on the edge of the forest. There are no other immediate neighbors. Surrounded by trees and a stream, you will be staying in the heart of nature. The property is adjacent to a large, expansive meadow. You can set off immediately on a hike through the beautiful nature of the Thuringian Forest.
The accommodation is located just outside Friedrichroda in the district of Reinhardsbrunn with its magnificent and historic castle, which is also known as the cradle of Thuringia. The renovation of the castle is in full swing following a compulsory expropriation procedure and its transfer to the “Thuringian Castles and Gardens” foundation.
In the immediate vicinity, there is a fish restaurant and a bratwurst snack bar serving original Thuringian grilled sausages. In Friedrichroda itself, you will find everything you need for a pleasant stay. Worth mentioning is the nearby hospital for immediate medical care.

In the neighboring town of Bad Tabarz, you will find the “Tabbs” wellness spa and, since 2022, Germany's most beautiful hiking trail, as awarded by “Wandermagazin” magazine. In Bad Tabarz, you can also learn a lot about the writer Heinrich Hoffmann and Struwwelpeter.

Transportation:
The district of Reinhardsbrunn has its own stop on the Thuringian Forest Railway. The Thuringian Forest Railway connects you to DB trains via Gotha Central Station or the South Thuringian Railway in Waltershausen. It is about a 15-minute walk from the accommodation to the stop.
The A4 motorway is easily accessible via the Waltershausen junction.
As our vacation home is somewhat remote, we recommend traveling by car if in doubt. Free parking is available directly at the vacation home.
