Villa Javier de Frigiliana by Ruralidays

Quiet villa, situated close to the town of Frigiliana, in the province of Malaga, Andalucia.

Since this villa has been recently built, it is provided with all the comforts and a picturesque decoration with a rustic style. It has three bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other two with two single beds each, in addition to two bathrooms, one with shower and the other with whirlpool bathtub, a completely equipped independent kitchen and a cosy dining-living room.

In the outdoor area, the villa features a majestic terrace and a huge private swimming pool, where you can enjoy the quietness and the harmony of the nature that surrounds this splendid accommodation.

In the fields surrounding the house, you will have the possibility to go horse riding, mountain hiking and strolling along the river, while there is a sporting centre 400 meters far from the house.

Wir haben dieses Haus und den Garten sehr genossen. Es liegt in einer traumhaften Landschaft, sehr ruhig jedoch nah genug am Dorf, um dorthin laufen zu können. Die verschiedenen Terrassen bieten schöne Ausblicke und genügend Platz. Alles ist vorhanden, um sich komplett selbst zu versorgen. Wir danken für diesen tollen Aufenthalt!!!

Wonderful

This villa is fantastic. It's a lovely modern building but with rustic charm and the setting, in an avocado plantation with banana and kumquat trees, is so peaceful and private. The pool is perfectly sized and the view from the two terraces down the valley to the sea is great. The village of Frigiliana is above you on the hill and is no more than 5 mins walk away - it is up a fairly steep hill but nothing impossible. Jose Manuel is lovely. We only saw him at check in, check out and once when he came to clean the pool. He speaks very little English so a translation app is useful but to be honest we got by fine, it's easy enough to understand each other. The only other thing to mention is that there are two slightly raised bits of surface on either side at the top of the drive so it's important to make sure you drive out before turning so you don't catch the underside of your car on them. The drive is steep and the crst drops away quickly so although we had an SUV, we scraped it a couple of times. No damage though, just something to bear in mind. On the whole, a brilliant place to stay in a stunning region.

Property is exactly as it says in the brochure, the location is close enough to the busy streets of Frigiliana but far enough down a very steep un-listed road to be incredibly quiet. The pool was big enough for all of us to play and take a dip in when the weather got the best of us. This villa has to be the most authentic Spanish villa we have stayed in, the fixtures and fittings are very basic and there are a lot of things that could do with updating and refreshing like the sun beds, parasols and lounge area chairs. The property is listed as having Air Conditioning but it is not clear there is none at all in any of the bedrooms, and the only unit is in the lounge area and it’s not very big/powerful. Fans were provided by Felix but only two of the three actually worked, we ended up hiring an additional A/C unit locally but used it sparingly. Felix is amazing, he lives and works locally and came round at least 6-7 times during our stay to repair a leak, clean the pool and swap the bedding! You will need a good translation APP to communicate with him though as he understands very little English.
