My brother and I did a sibling trip and stayed here for 6 nights. Overall we enjoyed the stay very very much! The hotel has a very old timey classy vibe which I loved. The front & cleaning staff were very kind, helpful and welcoming through our stay. The hotel itself is in a great location! Close enough to be “in” Times Square but not so close that you’re in the chaos that is Times Square. The room & bathroom were very spacious and the windows were big enough to let in the crisp breeze if the room ever got too warm. Checking in/out was super quick and easy with the front desk staff and they even offer flat rates to the airport which is super convenient. I would 100% stay here again during future travels to NYC.

Before my stay, the hotel processed a charge I did not expect based on my booking. I emailed asking for the General Manager, and a reservations agent replied without addressing my concern. At check-in, the front desk said it was not something she could help with. No one with authority ever responded. I was told at check-in I’d receive a text for contacting the front desk. It never came, and there is no phone in the room. The next morning the front desk was empty, with the lights and computer off. Entry at night is by door code. One evening a loud fight broke out in a neighboring room, and the hotel’s listed number reached someone off-site who didn’t know whether anyone was on the property. No one called back, and I ended up contacting 311, who sent police. The room had a sticky spill on the floor, a coffee maker that shook and made strange noises until I unplugged it, no shower shelf for toiletries, and outlets you have to get on the floor to reach. Towels were thin and rough. I expected basic follow-through and a way to reach staff. Don’t count on anyone being at the front desk.
