Eine sehr ordentliche und praktische Unterkunft für einen Aufenthalt an der Amalfikiste mit dem Auto. Von hier aus kann man sehr gut alle Destinationen erreichen. Der Ausblick vom Frühstücksraum ist atemberaubend, wunderbarer Blick aufs Meer.

Our stay was very nice and joyful as we rented a scooter and was able to park in-front of la vela. Close to the beginning of the “path of gods” which is a highly recommended hike. Breakfast was good enough and our host made a top-notch cappuccino for us. Really good view from the breakfast and in walking distance of a small market. Overall a great place in the to be if you want to venture to Amalfi or Positano.

The owner Beacho is an amazing accommodating and kind man, the property is well kept and situated with excellent views of Praiano amalfi. This hotel is good value. Beacho organized our transportation options to excursions and helped us managed luggage transportation. We felt loved and being family cared at this place

Sono stato in questo B&b con la mia ragazza per cinque giorni e ci siamo trovati molto bene. La struttura si trova in una zona molto panoramica ed è a pochi passi da minimarket, tabaccaio, bar e ristoranti. La fermata del bus è distante meno di 100 metri. La camera era grande, molto pulita e ben accessoriata. La colazione è abbondante e si svolge su una terrazza da dove si ha un panorama mozzafiato vista mare. Inoltre, cosa più importante, ci ha colpiti molto la gentilezza del proprietario, disponibile per ogni cosa. Estremamente consigliato per una vacanza in Costiera.

Overall it was good. Biagio is an amazing host, very helpful with everything. Our room has a partial sea view. There was nice breakfast arranged with a view of the sea. The only down part is that the room needs a fan or something. Or if you open the balcony room at night you get attacked by mosquitoes at night. But I’m sure this could be sorted. Transportation can be very difficult, the hourly bus through the area could not stop as it can be full but then there is an estate minibus coming and picks up the rest of the people. If you rent a car, you have to be a good driver to drive through the mountains.

The only road from Praiano was closed and we could not get to the hotel. They should have notified us in advance that this was a daily problem and that we should cancel the reservation. The sign said that the road would be closed everyday and the policeman there told us it was closed every day. Why did not la Vela cancel before we got there if they knew it would be closed? It did not seem to be something they did not know!

Estadia no La Vela, Costa Amalfitana

Estivemos 7 noites no La Vela. Fica num local muito sossegado e é ótimo para descansar. É num local central em relação às vilas turisticas. Tem uma vista espectacular sobre o mediterrâneo. Não esperem as mordomias de um hotel caro pois este é o que o conceito dita: cama e pequeno almoço. O Vincenzo, um senhor já com alguma idade, muito simpático, contador de histórias e ótimo conversador (pena que só fala o italiano), foi quem nos recebeu á chegada. Depois temos o Biagio, filho do Vincenzo, sempre prestável e simpático. Em termos de limpeza nada a apontar. Sempre que voltavamos das nossas voltas o quarto estava impecável. Casa de banho limpa, cama feita e tudo limpinho. Tem um mini frigorífico que serve para o dia a dia e eles próprios incentivam a que compremos o comer para levar para o quarto. Tem serviço de correios perto do alojamento, supermercado e um café/bar que além de se poder comprar bebidas para consumo lá, funciona como uma pequena mercearia onde se pode comprar pequenos produtos incluindo sandes se viermos tarde e com fome. Tem a paragem dos autocarros mesmo junto ao alojamento. No geral, a qualidade/preço, localização, a distância às vilas mais turísticas, faz com que seja uma boa opção. Um único ponto a melhorar: falta um estendal na varanda para secar roupa. Voltarei um dia sem nenhum problema.

We had multiple issues with this property, but if you like old-italian rustic charm, this will be fine. Check in was difficult because of communication barriers, the room was less than desirable and was dormitory style with uncomfortable beds. We could not obtain a hair dryer and iron until the second day when it was too late as we were having family pictures done that first night. We expected a cooked to order breakfast as it stated in the listing and the owner acquiesced after telling me that it was a mistake in the listing. But he made one set of eggs and bacon for one person in our part of four. Weird, but ok. I wasn't going to press as he was already irritated. Then the next (last) day, he was exasperated trying to explain to me that it was a mistake. By the time he got done with his explanation, we were out of time to wait for breakfast so I told him not to worry about it. He accused me of not respecting him. After that tantrum, I will say I lost respect for him, but I was respecting him. The other problem we had was with transportation -- no fault of the owners. The Italian buses were full. 6 times in a row. We ended up walking down the hill to Amalfi and we ended up getting picked up by another bus --costing us more money as well. It was annoying and coupled with the experience with the owner, the "rustic" dormitory style room -- there is no chance I would ever stay in Furore again let alone this particular location.

Nice staff. A bit far away from spots we wanted to go like Amalfi, Ravello etc as the hotel is up in a hill. Driving at night back there could be terrible as there were no light in the road..

hard to arrive and expensive

Although the people there are friendly,the hotel is too expensive. It's cost us 67€+4€(TAX). There is no air-conditioner in the room. And it's hard to arrive. If you want to arrive this hotel,you need to change bus at Amalfi(I went Amalfi from Sorrento). Anyway I don't think the position is good.

Bella Amalfiküste

Unsere Unterkunft hatte eine Austattung von den 70 iger Jahren, aber trotzdem sauber. Leider keine Klimaanlage. Beim Frühstück gibt es guten Kaffee und 1 Stück gutes Croissant, Marmelade, Wasser, Säfte, Joghurt, Müsli und verpackte Süßigkeiten. Ist anscheinend in Süditalien so. Wir haben uns selbst Schinken, Käse, Tomaten und Weckerl gekauft und beim Frühstück gegessen. Die Aussicht vom Frühstücksraum ist großartig, jedoch stehen hier Dinge, die nichts zu Suchen haben im Frühstücksraum. Die Stiege zu unserem Zimmer etwas gefährlich. Parken sehr schwierig, mussten unsere gemietete Vespa immer wieder ganz eng an die Wand stellen, damit hier kleine Autos hinunter fahren können. Die Schwester vom Besitzer La Vela ist richtig nett und hilft einem bei Fragen immer weiter. Zum Empfehlen ist La Vela für Menschen die keine hohen Ansprüche stellen, den Komfort gibt es keinen. Trotzdem war es ein toller Urlaub.

Great stay with a local touch!

We had a great 3 night stay at La Vela. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time while there, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location had a bus stop right in front of it which took us directly to Amalfi. I would certainly go back. I recommend it if you are looking for a more authentic stay and feel for the culture. Thank you for having us.

The view and the cleanliness great but the fact that we were allowed to leave our backpacks all day was fantastic. They were able to assist us to get a room in another facility since they were fully booked for the next two days and even gave us a ride to get there. Unbelievable hospitality and assistance. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends. Thank you so much for the fantastic above and Beyond service.

Ein toller charmanter Ort, an dem man alles hat was man braucht. Gastgeber die sehr hilfsbereit sind und sich wunderbar um ihre Gäste kümmern. Vor der Unterkunft direkt eine Bushaltestelle. In der Umgebung ist es nicht laut, einige tolle Lokale sind in der Nähe, ein perfekter Ort um von dort aus die Amalfiküste zu entdecken.
