"We had an amazing time and used this as two days of relaxing in the middle of our 1.5 minth trip. It was our first time at an onsen (we are Canadian) and it was a great introduction as there was both private and public onsens. The view was incredible, of the mountains and valley and we got to sit in a private outdoors onsen while watching a lighting storm. Truely magical. The staff was amazing and very accomodating. They were friendly and helpful and we communicated well through translator apps....

Drifting off to sleep in a dark room with the snow falling through the positioned sliding windows as to not see any of the surrounding modern day buildings, was a marvellous experience that I shall treasure forever. "I’m very disappointed about the fact that the hotel does not have the courtesy to provide 1 or 2 hr of late check-out : They charge ¥1,000/hr/person!!! If it’s a weekend, i can understand, but it’s a quiet Monday! I’ve been to dozens of hotels in Japan and worldwide, first time I encountered this. Of course, they’re not ethically wrong or anything; but as a service provider, i will not choose or recommend to anyone."
