Heading to Futaleufú after quite an eventful border crossing (Argentina -> Chile). The 8pm light reminded me of Nordic summers and Doggy, who accompanied us for 2 km - until he caught a hare -, seemed sent by someone to guide and protect us. P.S. Love it... or not :D, it's still one of the most impressive whitewater stretches in the world (mainly class IV and V rapids, with a few class III rapids). This is Casa de Piedra (V), on the Puente a Puente + Macal sections. I've been dreaming to paddle Futa for more than 10 years. It was very intense and some of the biggest and most challenging water I've ever seen... but to me, the river felt cold (and I'm not referring to its temperature). The staff were incredible! Special shoutout to Nahuel, who graciously received us after 11pm. He gave us several options for where we could stay. I stayed in a nice, spacious room with a queen bed and a larger bathroom across the hallway. My parents stayed upstairs in the bunk beds, with two bathrooms ...
