"I had booked this hotel thinking it was standard, but it was Japanese style: tatami floor, floor mattress, and no private bathroom (shower). The room did have a toilet, sink, closets, tv, electrical kettle, etc… yet despite not having my own shower was not a big deal. "A pleasant and reliable stay. The hotel feels a little older in style but is clean, comfortable, and well kept, with friendly and professional staff. I liked the quiet ground-floor entrance that leads straight to the elevators, with reception on the second floor. There are no laundry facilities, which for me was a bit of a downside since I’ve been hiking from city to city and rely on being able to wash clothes regularly. It’s a short walk to the station and nightlife, and the view of the city with Mount Fuji in the background is beautiful. I would happily stay here again."
