"Lovely, comfortable home in Sydney River. We stayed with our three teenage kids for three nights while visiting family at various locations on Cape Breton. Convenient location, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. We would stay here again!"

"We very much enjoyed our week on the Mira. The home was immaculate when we checked in. The pet friendly accommodations were well equipped with everything we needed for our week stay. The property is just down the road from Marion Bridge and a short drive from Sydney, Louisbourg, and Glace Bay. The Cabot Trail is doable from here, although it is a full day (but well worth it). I would highly recommend this Juniper Mountain home."

"The property is ideally situated between Sydney and Louisbourg with a short trip to each. Fort Louisbourg is a must to see. The view from inside the house and from the spaceous deck is fabulous. The house itself is new and modern and well constructed and very private. I was a little disappointed that the beaches to the north were more difficult to get to because the bridge was out. However, the beach to the south was just as few minutes away with good sand, a walkway that made access to the beach with a walker easily accessible and quite private. It was nice to be able to sit outside in the deck with no bugs - something we couldn't do at other places on Cape Breton."

"The waterfront with gazebo, paddle boat, canoe and sitting area are the main attraction at this basement suite. Unfortunately, we were rained out for 3 full days and spent our time inside, so offer that perspective. The kitchen is well-equipped. WIFI is good. We found the seating (1 love seat, 3 backless kitchen stools) somewhat uncomfortable for long periods of sitting (to read, for example). Upstairs noise is easily heard downstairs (footsteps, TV, vacuuming, flushing toilet drains). Washer and dryer are appreciated but these are setup in the kitchen. A full mattress is also stored in the kitchen. A TV screen would be most helpful for rainy days. The hosts are friendly and were responsive to a water leak. Games, puzzles and books are provided. Recommended for sunny stays."
