Enjoy your stay at Lake Guntersville in this floating cabin. 1 bedroom with queen bed and fold out couch in the living area provides room for three guests. With electric fireplace and plenty of space to dock your boat or personal watercrafts, there's no need to ever leave the cabin. It's also a great place to watch the sun rise and set as you fish from your own private deck. If you're looking to dine out, Wintzell's Oyster House is only steps away. Sorry no pets are allowed at the property. Please be aware before booking that it may not be the place for anyone with motion sickness. It is also more of a camping experience than a motel stay. The sewage system is a holding tank, like what is used in a camper or RV. It is pumped daily, but there is the chance of some odors as with any self contained unit. Dishes, bath towels, and cooking utensils are provided for your convenience.

Really enjoyed our stay - cleaned up on bluegill, striped bass, and nabbed a huge catfish right off the porch. Excellent experience overall. Septic system is a little cranky, but we'll definitely stay again. The place is quite small (as advertised), but the host is great, multiple air conditioners kept the heat at bay, and for a two-person quick getaway, it fit the bill marvelously.

The owner, Steve, is very nice. I made the mistake of booking the cabin for the wrong weekend, but he helped out greatly. But, I have to warn others about looking forward to fishing off of the porch/deck. There's a jet ski/boat rental company and about 30 other boats that all have to use the inlet. And the cabin is the last, or first, cabin that every boat or jet-ski encounters. The water is always disturbed, except for Sunday mornings, which I noticed as I was packing up. Beautiful area, but this location isnt for fishing folks, sorry.

Its a great get away. No frills. Our cabin was yellow, not brown, as advertised. You get what you pay for and i would definitely rent again. The toilet lid was very loise and by the 3rd day it wasnt flushing very well. Still, i loved it.

The weekend was peaceful and quiet. The view is amazing and the host was super responsive. This is a great little cabin if you’re just trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. But you are close to shopping, restaurants and entertainment if you want to get out also

The cabin was very cute & functional. There needs to be more silverware. Also the cabin did not cool down very well. The little ac over the couch only worked on low cool. Check-in was very easy. The pontoon closest to the marina may have a small leak as the cabin is lower on that side. Would definitely stay there again!

Floating cabin

This was on our bucket list to do and it was great, the cabin was easy to get to, it was exactly bigger than what we expected. The rooms were very comfortable with the air conditioning, and the bed slept really good. It was convenient to the restaurants and shopping centers. The view was great.

The septic tank needed to be pumped out. The toilet kept backing up because of the septic tank. The last day and a half we were there the place smelled of sewage. Also, the air conditioners needed cleaning.

The toilet didn't work. There was a bad smell throughout the whole boat house. I think the sewage system needs to be refurbished. I do appreciate the opportunity to see how staying there would be, but I don't think I would try to stay at that particular venue again.

We rented the cabin for two nights and have already checked out due to the following conditions: Toilet does not flush. No hot water nor hot water pressure. Septic odor was overwhelming. Does not appear to have been cleaned properly for a while. Fireplace does not work. Upon arriving the gnats inside the cabin were extensive. When trying to contact the host per expedia info by phone the mailbox was full and when emailing we received a email adress is invalid so we could not get resolution so we could continue the stay. Definitely a waste of our hard money
