Nice location unfortunately we had a bad stay the cleanliness of the property was not up to standard. From dealing with cockroaches to white socks turned black from the dirty floor, fire alarms running out of battery. Could be a nice property but the people running the turn around need to do a much better job to get it up to standard.

Lovely location for family vacation

Very nice house; walking distance to the beach. The layout waa perfect floorplan for ramily with adult children. The beds were extremely comfortable. Entire house was as depicted in photos. Will definitely stay here again when we xome back down.

to start issues gaining entry

the day before my arrival I received an email with check in process information which showed that it would be keyless entry but provided no code. I immediately reached out and was told there was a back up on storage room. I could never open storage room combo lock with the code provided. I had to call in and then wait for someone to text me a code. I was locked out for 45 minutes after arrival which after driving 3 1/2 hours to get there.. Then the trash had not been taking out and stunk. The couch and loveseat both stunk horribly and you could see dried food on the couch cushions and pillows. Tubs werent clean and dishes appeared "dusty". Although I reached out via text never received a reply.

Not clean/sinks stopped up

First day we arrived the whole house appeared clean. But the floors/closets/underneath the beds/ top of tv stand and counter tops upstairs were covered in dog hair and dust. Took off shoes and feet were instantly black. The downstairs bathroom sink started filling up with water after one flush to the toilet. Smelled like sewage the whole time we were there. Tried to contact VRBO and Vacasa was put on hold for a hour the first time and then hung up on. Tried the next morning and during the day it just kept ringing. Emailed the company no response, called back said they would send someone out to fix the sink. No one ever showed up. Called back 3 days into being there still nothing. So we were not able to use the bathroom sink and had to keep doors shut to bedrooms due to the smell. Second day of being there the Wi-Fi and tv stopped working. Had to use our own phones for a hotspot on the tv which didn’t work well. The whole week we were there the tv’s were constantly on and off working for 30 minutes at a time if we were lucky. Still couldn’t reach anyone to see about getting it fix and the sink. So we had to drive into town and find a connection so we would work while away. We’re told there was a washer and dryer but no location as to how to get into the building. Looked all around in the drawers they were tossed underneath a cabinet with pots and pans. Day 4 we found them and able to wash. Other than that the house was at a great and beautiful location . The house was beautiful as well. Just absolutely horrible cleanliness and no communication what so ever with the company except getting automatic texts.

Spring Break

The neighborhood was very nice and the house appeared clean. However, the house was not actually clean. The people that walked bare foot in the house ended up with feet so dirty their feet were black. We found several dirty dishes in the cabinet (bowls with food left in it, cups with coffee and creamer that hadn’t been cleaned out, etc). There was only 1.5 rolls of toilet paper in the entire house. The upstairs bathroom doesn’t have a toilet paper holder. There were no paper towels in the house. Only 2 wash pods and not enough towels for everyone staying in the house (8 people). The grill was dirty and there was no aluminum foil to clean it. No extras at all- no skillets, no plastic wrap or aluminum foil, minimal cooking utensils. It was also very surprising that checkout was at 10 as well. When trying to call someone about early check in and lack of items I sat on hold for 25 min and then was “disconnected” after asking my first question. We did ,however, enjoy the proximity to the beach and the house was nice overall. This property has the potential to be an excellent spot but several adjustments need to be made.

Family (Dad 37 B8 G6 B3) with Grandma - Perfect House

Took my kids and my mom to the beach for a couple of days, driving from Austin. Brother towed his boat from Missouri City and we fished out of San Luis Pass. It would have been wonderful to have had access to this house's community boat ramp as we could have launched directly from there and saved the trip back across the bridge. Master bedroom is upstairs with jack and jill bedrooms/bathroom downstairs. Plenty of space in the living room to spread out...good house. Location is a little isolated so if you are looking to do a lot of touristy stuff stay closer to Surfside of Galveston...packing in our own food and eating at home made the most sense...small store down the street had basics but not that fancy of stuff.

great place

We have rented in galveston on many different occasions. If you want NOT beach front this place is perfect, as the beach is walking a block away (there is a shortcut for walking that is closer than driving). The furnace/air worked great as did all the appliances. The kitchen was well stocked, had everything we needed, and it was very clean. The price was a good value for this property.

Bring your bug spray

We VRBO or similar bookings once a month for the past year and this stay was average at best. You can definitely tell that it is run by a business and not an individual as the comforts just are there. Instead of going into the details I will just leave a list of Pros and cons. Pros Good Location Safe and friendly neighborhood Downstairs Shower Cold AC Fans in every room Xfinity TV Pet friendly Staff (I had to call for something) was SUPER friendly Cons Lawn not mowed leading to an abundance of mosquitos (I need to be checked for Malaria) Unprofessional handwritten instructions (for wifi and laundry room key) on a torn papertowel. No laundry detergent Dryer lint trap had not been cleaned out in months! 120 grit sandpaper for toilet paper Sheets were like a 15 thread count Wifi not working Largest cooking pan was like 6" Deck boards curling up causing a trip hazard

Good for Smaller Groups

Overall, we enjoyed this listing, however I would not recommend it be listed for 8 people. There were no sheets provided for the pull out sofa, which was a bit concerning during a global pandemic. Additionally, we were there the weekend that Tropical Storm Beta came to Galveston, and there was no communication from the property manager, especially while voluntary evacuations were being issued. That said, this was my first time booking through Vacasa/VRBO, so I was a bit confused on how to even communicate with the manager. Overall, we had a great time, would just recommend for smaller groups or bring your own sheets!

Easy Beach Stay

Was everything we needed (5 adults, one toddler and two dogs). Clean, easy check-in and out and short walk to the beach. Beach was also clean and wasn't crowded. I had read a review asking for small waste baskets added to the bathrooms, which we also felt could be handy. Thanks for the stay!

Unclean and Deceptive

When we pulled up to the house, we were disappointed. The online photos of the house, inside and out, don’t even look close to reality. 1) The house is pet-friendly. However, we did not bring any. In fact, some attending family members are allergic to cats and dogs. We asked if we could check in early and were told that it would not be available because of the extra cleaning that was necessary due to COVID-19. Well, it looked like no one cleaned at all, and certainly no extra cleaning was being done due to the virus. There was dog hair everywhere; all over the couch pillows, couches, showers, floors, etc... We found a used, glue-on eyelash on one of the nightstands, and on another nightstand, there were nail clippings and curly hair from the previous guests. 2) The outside shower was leaking 3) The downstairs toilet lid was broken 4) There was dog hair in the washer and no one had cleaned the dryer vent, which was full of lent and dog hair as well. Our family made the most of the trip and enjoyed our time together, but we will NEVER be staying there again.

We had a lovely stay at your home. If I may make a few minor recommendations.. perhaps putting small trash cans in each of the bathrooms, having kitchen towels in the kitchen, and lastly getting a pot or tea kettle to boil water. Your home was very comfortable and extremely clean- you have no idea how important that is to me! 🥰
