It is a lovely, well appointed, nicely updated apartment with historic charm in a great location with many restaurants within walking distance. We were only there one night before getting on a cruise - also within close proximity - but wish it could've been longer. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This is a beautiful building that was perfect for our short stay! The loft was clean and very quaint! Plenty of room for our guests with comfortable bedding! We will definitely be booking again the next time we are in Galveston!

Fantastic location

Great loft close to The Strand. Easy walking distance to everything. Bedrooms are private being on opposite ends of the space and very spacious. We really enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our quick trip to Galveston. The loft was clean and well stocked with essentials. It's location is within walking distance to the strand and lots of restaurants. Overall it's a great spot and we would stay there again.

2 couples, 78 yr old, celebrating a birthday. We enjoyed our stay. We had everything we needed and then some. Loved the walkability to the Strand…shops and restaurants. No complaints. Would stay here again….the only thing that could make it batter is an elevator….maybe some lamps in the living room for reading.

Cons - very old apartment so noisy wooden flooring.Parking is a pain - only street parking or paid parking in a nearby parking lot. All the beds make squeaky sound every time you move Loud card during the night.No dumpsters to dump trash which could be a pain if you plan to stay longer.Pros - location - very close to beaches and restaurants.Safe to some extent as doors have an entry code. Neat and cleanSpacious Kitchen and utensils are good.

Texas am Galveston parents

Convenient location to the strand and market at restaurants and Texas AM campus. The area directly surrounding seems to be in sort of transition as some building look to be abandoned. However always felt safe walking around which we did quite a bit. Texas am campus is a short drive.

I really enjoyed this property and would stay again. I only stayed one night, for rest. However, my daughter and I loved it. It is cute, cozy and clean. The communication was wonderful and the bed was so comfortable. The parking is less than ideal, but that's downtown anywhere for you.

Older, but well kept loft. Good location, close to the Strand. Had creaky floors, but that's to be expected from such an old building. Not handicap accessible. Looks like there may have once been an elevator, but it's not in use, so you have to climb stairs to get to the loft. Was not an issue for us though.

Great place close to The Strand. Plenty of restaurants, antique shops, shopping, etc. . . . Parking in front of the building is limited to 2 hours between 9-6 pm. A little inconvenient but not a big deal. Unlimited parking a few streets over. Plenty of cooking supplies. Washer/Dryer combo. Dryer is very slow, just plan to dry overnight. Great communication. Great location. Will stay with Beach Box again.

Great Location, but A Few Misses

Pre-arrival information was timely and informative. Loft was spacious, and a great location for Mardi Gras. A bit of room for improvement includes soap in the bathrooms - only one had 2 mini shampoos and 1 body lotion, and the other had nothing. Handtowels would have been nice, as only 1 towel and 1 washcloth per guest was available. Also, an extra blanket would have been nice, as the weather was quite cold during our stay. Lastly, check-in information was not sent as promised, but only after I messaged host to request it.and rainy during our sypguest

Great location but noisy

We liked being able to walk to get food and explore. The place was great, my only complaint is that it was very loud. I could hear the footsteps of everyone in the building, and i could hear every single car and people talking outside. I only stayed one night and couldn't sleep because of the noise. If you aren't a light sleeper this shouldn't be a probkem for you, but if you have a baby, or if you have trouble sleeping through noises, I'd look somewhere else. Other than the noise, this was a great spot. It was charming and it had plenty of sleeping room!

Not Perfect, but Good

The property was good, but didn't realize the only bathroom was en suite to the master, which made it awkward for our daughter and son-in-law who stayed with us. Also, the sofa was very uncomfortable to sit on. Check in was difficult. I sent an email asking about check in the day of the reservation. Was told it would be sent at 3:00 p.m. for 4 o'clock checking in. At 4:20 we still had not received check in information and had to request it again. Property was well located and very clean. Loved the history of the building. Not perfect, but good.
