Love the house and great view!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. There’s a great view and the beach is right across the street. The marina is a quick walk with a view of the bay and a restaurant! 10/10

Hidden germ!

We enjoyed our stay at this beach home, plenty of space/beds for big group. The house was clean, check in was easy, and the property management are very friendly and responsive. Love the ocean view, and the backyard space for kids to play, fireplace was perfect for catching up with the family/friends. Only thing could use a little upgrade is the grille, it has a charcoal grille that’s a bit of seasoned. Will definitely recommend this hidden germ for weekend getaway!

Family time at the Beach

We had such a wonderful time at Sea Esta! The accommodations fit our family and we were so close to the beach. We cooked and went out to eat but we were very happy we stayed on the outside of Galveston as traffic was so busy in town. We appreciate all the communication with VRBO or our hosts.

Great house for a large group

The house was great. Lots of room and beds for everyone. The only thing we didn’t like about the location was that the Walmart was a little far for us and when cooking for 14 we like to buy food to cook and the small little shops around the house didn’t carry as much and much higher prices. Overall the location was nice and the house itself great.

Galveston beach house

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at this home. It was more than large enough to accommodate comfortably the 9 people we had staying there and also the large group of relatives that visited during the day. The short walk to the beach was convenient, and the Cowboy Pool and the sand volleyball area were fun. The unimpeded view of the beach from the porch was wonderful. Thank you!

Great accommodations for large family/group

Everything was great! Just a small issue with cleanliness of all the floors and stairs. Also, 1 downstairs bedroom has no ac vent. But very spacious bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen were spotless. We had a wonderful time. My grandkids, all 9 enjoyed the pools

Perfect house and location

We had a group of 18 very long time friends who got together for a reunion. The house was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was very well equipped. Between the kitchen and the deck, We had awesome places to hang out and visit. We also enjoyed the fire pit and the quick access to the beach. Highly recommend

Went to Galveston to spend some quality time with the family. Being a contract worker on oil rigs, I don't get too much time with them, so I need to make the most of what I do get. Russell, thank you for letting us stay here and spend some time together. It was great!

Great spot for multiple families

This was our first time visiting Texas for Spring Break and with 3 different families this house did not disappoint. The views of the ocean everyday could be seen from the back deck or just a short 5 minute walk to the water. The property manager checked in a couple times during the stay which was a nice touch. House/yard had plenty of space to accommodate all 14 of us. It is about a 20/30 minute drive into Galveston but it was nice being away from the crowded beaches and traffic of Galveston. We would stay here again.

Great stay

The house was perfect for our family. It is close to the ocean, has comfortable beds, and was very clean. The screens are missing from several windows but I am guessing that’s from the high winds that come off the sea. Also, there aren’t any beach towels in the house. You’ll have to bring your own.

Great location but needs to focus on cleanliness

We enjoyed our time at the house, but the cleanliness left something to be desired. When we arrived, the hous smelled of mothballs and the large air conditioning intake vent was covered in a black mold, which we tried to clean off. One of the pots in the kitchen cabinets had an inch-deep layer of old, rancid cooking fat in it, and in general the place felt a little worn out. One sliding door was off its tracks and inoperable. The place is comfortable for a large group and the location is great. Just wish it it had more attention to the details.

Not fenced

The main reason that I booked this house was because it was fenced (yes, I double checked and they confirmed). I had a medium dog and a toddler with me. After 4h driving, for my big and sad surprise, the fence was super broken, leaving a huge hole. Talked with the manager, who quickly responded me, but nothing could have been done (maintenance wasn't able to be there in time and the owner, for some reason, couldn't reallocat us). Ended up not enjoying outside as we planned (we love barbecue" :( "). The house is really nice and clean, and everything really seams new. But overall, our 3 night vacation trip wasn't like we planned to be.

Family resort stay

We did have a lot of sleeping space and I loved the amount of amenities (especially utensils, cooking equipment and supplies. Everyone really loved the cowboy pool and upper deck pool and the volleyball setup was an awesome perk. The proximity of the pools to the lower deck seating made it so easy to supervise the younger kids. There were, however, some disappointments. In the lower bedroom with the bunk beds, the linen was dirty and had some yellow and green looking stuff on it. There were way too many roaches in the bedroom, bathrooms, and kitchen. Two family members left early because of that Despite the fact that it was pretty close to the beach, the Blue Water highway was a nightmare. There was so much traffic noise it was hard to relax and enjoy the deck areas. The second evening we were there a high impact wreck happened as we were sitting out. Our biggest problem was the neighbors to our left. They had at least 6 dogs who were constantly barking and running up and down the fence when the little kids were playing. Yesterday their German shepherd jumped the fence while our dog was in the yard and one of their small dogs crawled under the fence and ran around in the yard which kind of scared the little ones. Don’t get me wrong. We did have a good time and and were not too unsatisfied. It just wasn’t as restful as we would have liked. A few suggestions— you need better lighting for the lower deck, some steps for the cowboy pool and hand rails for the upper poo

Disappointment - Good but not good

Overall we made it good stay. Usually we do not write bad reviews. However when we checked in -the lock box would not open, took several tries to pop it open. Cowboy pool was filled with sand and an old soda can was floating in it when we arrived. Trash in the trash cans outside as well as one of the restrooms. Upon entry the house floors were dirty and floor was taped with blue painters tape in several areas covering the damage to floors. While staying my nephew got hit in face with a bar that broke off from one of the bunk bed, sleeping on top was my son a 16 year old 100lb kid. So luckily he didn’t get severely hurt. No one could sleep in the top bunks after the first night stay. Bunk beds NOT durable nor Safe for any future guest. Second day there was roaches in the utensils cabinet and roaches in bedroom, which was really disappointing. And embarrassing for my guest. The description states loaded kitchen but there was no pans to cook eggs on luckily we had brought on own. Cabinet in kitchen broken- fell on my guest foot when opening it, and most of the blind in the house broken. Balcony doors do NOT open at all , was looking forward to walking out on balcony from the bedroom room and door complete rusted, doors would not open. Overall we made it a good stay - but very disappointed with the how much we paid for the roaches and broken bunk beds. Will not book this property again. Bunk beds and roaches major issue. Close to beach but too far to walk. Pool was great.

Summer Family Gathering

Our family was meeting up for our annual summer vacation at the beach house. We have a couple severely autistic children so a couple adults went in first in hopes to child proof the house. When they walked up the steps there was a dead roach then they pushed the couch away from the railing and uncovered tons of trash to include a chicken bone. A little more attention to cleaning would have been appreciated. Additionally at shower time one ofThe kids accidentally stepped on a nail that was sticking out from the tub area. In a high traffic spot it’s important to check for hazards. Our first morning we planned a hefty breakfast before heading to the beach. Unfortunately there wasn’t even pans to cook eggs solely deep pots and not a oven mitten available either! We plan at least 2 getaways a year and we tried somewhere new with coming to this location and we were not impressed. We’ve never stayed somewhere there wasn’t basics and enough space for comfortable seating in living areas for our family. This location may have enough beds for a large group but not much else comfortability.

Fun for teens and mom!!

I took my 17 year old son and 8 of his friends. They all loved the place and short walk to the beach. They really enjoyed playing volleyball on the sand court. Swimming pool was still a little cold but a few got in. Plenty of room for each to have their own bed.

Galveston Thanksgiving getaway

Very nice property. Great accommodations and plenty of sleeping spaces. Had a hard time unlocking the doors, locks didn’t open easy with the key. The property really needs to be sprayed for spiders downstairs. Lots of spiders on the ground floor. Turned over furniture and there were spiders and lots of spider egg sacks. Granddaughter was bitten on the leg by a spider and they had other spiders on the beds. Other than the spiders, the property was great!

Excellent Place for a Beach Vacation

We had a great time staying at the Sea Esta in Galveston. The check-in process was easy. The house was in a quiet little neighborhood and literally a five-minute walk to the beach. The house itself was clean and tidy when we arrived. And most importantly for us, there was plenty of space. We had three families - five adults and four children under four - staying here and there were beds and bedrooms to spare. It did not feel cramped at all, even when we were all together in the main living space. And the description of the property on the listing was extremely accurate. The weather didn't cooperate so we didn't really get to take advantage of the pool, hot tub, sand volleyball pit, or fire pit, but if the weather had been better we would have loved to enjoy those as well. There's also a park just a five minute walk from the house that's great for young kids (it was a bit big for our two and four year olds). The house is about 20-30 minutes away from some of the main attractions of Galveston, so take that into consideration when making plans in town. But there is a grocery mart nearby and several great restaurants just 10 minutes or less away (I highly recommend the Way West Grill). Overall, this was an excellent experience and if we ever make plans to come back to Galveston (which is much more likely after we had such a good time this trip), this will be number one on our list of lodging options.
