Peaceful Winter Retreat

Perfect. We had the beach practically to ourselves. Watched the surf from the balcony and listened to the waves from the bedroom. Comfy.

Amazing stay!

Everything about our stay was amazing! The listing is just as described in person and was also perfect for our furry friends. Location is amazing and far from the busier public beach. We hope to return soon!

Fantastic place on the beach!

The property was nice, location on the beach was excellent, there were a couple of howevers…. The coffee machine was broken so we had to drive to get coffee 13 minutes away. We went into Galveston which is about 30 minutes away. Traffic coming back took over an hour. So the drive time is unpredictable. The lock on the door is tricky if you don’t completely read the directions paying full attention.

We enjoyed our stay in this condo and would consider staying again. It is very clean and the beds are comfortable, but for the cost of the condo it needs quite a bit of maintenance and upgraded amenities.

Best BEACHFRONT destination to this DATE!

I loved being able to walk out on balcony, gaze across natural rattlesnake habitat, (well marked with signage), whenever I desired rain or shine, simply incredible! Many long walks on elevated walkway across “habitat” to beach, with Churchill (Pointe West Resort dog friendly) provided EPIC moments!

Wonderful Beach Access

The views are great, the elevator being inoperable made getting your stuff to your unit VERY difficult. Not being able to open the windows is extremely frustrating. Access to the beach was great. If you’re wanting to relax and chill this is the place to go. It’s 20 miles from Galveston’s hustle and bustle.

Ideal Location for Late September

Treasure on the Beach provides a perfect view of the beach. Elevators were working great, which is a major plus! Comfortable layout and beds. Unit size was perfect for four people. Balcony is great to watch sunrise and hang out late afternoon and evening but needs new furniture. Building is situated right next door to the Pointe West Beach Club, which is a plus during less busy times of year. However, might get noisy during peak times since building is so close to the club. Was ideally convenient for a girls' weekend, since the resort was not too busy the third week of September and we had easy access to the amenities.

The beach view is peaceful & the place is roomy enough. Furnishings are tired, borderline dirty. Kitchen is sparsely & randomly equipped. WiFi works well but the elevator is not reliable.

Pleasantly Surprised!

Based on some of the other reviews, I was concerned about our stay. I called ahead of time to ensure everything would be there when we arrived. They delivered! The place was spotless, we had plenty of pillows, kitchen stuff, towels, etc. The view was awesome, very quiet when we stayed. Just be aware it is a little ways in to town, but that's what we loved the most because it wasn't crowded and really quiet!

Great grounds, landscape, views and beach!

Love the large balcony and beach view! The boardwalk is nice. The condo is decorated cute.the entry key pad didn’t work and text communication with Vacasa FINALLY got us in. The dishwasher and dryer didn’t work. The stove partially worked. There weren’t enough towels and no rags. No stopper for kitchen sink to wash dishes. There weren’t enough plates or cups. Fix those items and it will be a great stay.

Treasure on the beach

Nice unit very close to the beach and the large swimming pool area and Club at Point west. If you're a serious cook you may want to bring a few of your own cooking utensils as the kitchen only has very basic things. The bedrooms are comfortable with newer Furniture nice bedding if you have a tendency to want to sleep under lots of blankets You may wish to bring an additional one. Bathrooms are comfortable and easy to use. The grounds around the unit are well kept. We did arrive one week after the hurricane in early July and things were a bit unorganized but the staffs were really working hard to get the facility back on par.

No ELEVATOR

Unit is exactely like the pictures posted. Best view ever! Some reviewed the unit as moldy/ humidity smelling, I'm a Florida gal & it's not a moldy scent it's straight up pet/ dog/ scent, kinda disgusting actually! Sides of bed in master bedroom were lined with sand. USB chargers installed behind end tables in master did not work at all. Charged phones in the bathroom. Unit had all items needed for a long term stay but you do need to bring coffee filters/coffee. Toilet paper/ paper towels/ dish soap/ dishwasher/ shampoo/ conditioner/ bath soap items provided but enough for 2 days. Pots/ pans/ dishes/ sheet pans/ provided. But NO elevator was a huge problem! As someone who had reconstructive surgery n cannot lift more than a coffee cup, this was an issue! My husband drove back into Houston for work Mon/ Tuesday AM n I had to check out solo, this wasn't cool! Overall unit was pleasant besides the odor!

Beautiful location, serene, beach front was perfect just a moldy.

Perfect condo outside of the noisy congested downtown area. Beautiful beach front, not packed at all. Had all the privacy in the world, pleasant staff, spacious condo. Only two cons, there was the overwhelming strong mold smell, the hvac ducts were moldy and damp so the mold smell filled the condo and we ended up leaving early because our sinuses and headaches were so bad. Sheets and towels were super saturated with the smell. Definitely know what cookware you need before showing up because it’s very sparse. Bring your own coffee as well and snacks etc. Had a broom to sweep floors but no other cleaning supplies so if you want to clean between meals bring your own. Other con was we couldn’t access pool the first night because we arrived right at 5 and the reception area was closed so I wasted $50 on bands I couldn’t use. I had called ahead and to no avail so that sort of took away the point of booking the unit because we like to swim in the evenings. Chatbot was as accommodating as you can expect but having prepaid for the bands I’d would have liked to have been able to get full use of them. Balcony was awesome just don’t sit in most of the chairs they’re rusted and most were rusted together and broken stacked in the corner. Condo was cool though so if you’re a hot sleeper the HVAC definitely keeps you more than comfortable. No food delivery, it’s a remote area but well worth the location. Would stay here in the mold would be remediated because the location is sublime!
