Kitchen was spot on with everything needed. The view of the ocean was magnificent. The whole condo color scheme and bedding was marvelous. The master bathroom was gorgeous even though the jacuzzi jets didnt work and no hot water in the sinks still magnificent. All beds were comfortable and cozy. Even tho little things needed work i would definitely stay again.

Great Stay! Recommend first week of May

Great stay. Across street from Babe's Beach and nice view. First week of May...no one is there, the water is warm. We had restaurant reservations, but could have walked in anywhere. Recommend Houston Space Center for teens and older.

Great location but dated property

Host was pleasant and prompt with messages. Condo staff were friendly. Great location right across from the beach. Stairs got a little tiring when having to carry stuff up and down. The condo itself was a bit dated with fixtures falling apart. The kitchen had everything that would be needed. Didn’t end up using the pool facilities but it looked nice enough.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay, with adorable and unexpected perks. First off, the condo was gorgeous.None of us wanted to leave. All of the girls were obsessed with the bath bombs and wanted to soak in that luxurious tub. The main room had the most amazing view, and we were able to watch the sunrise in bed. The kitchen was fully stocked, and labeled so it was easy to find what we were looking for and they definitely had everything we were looking for in a kitchen. There were great instructions for everything we needed on the trip. There were even menus for all of the local restaurants, which was helpful for on the go times we didn’t want to cook. We have decided that it is the perfect location, close to everything but far enough that the beach isn’t crowded. We will absolutely be back for another trip. Our hostess was so informative and organized and really made it all a smooth weekend.

Family summer vacation

We really enjoyed our recent visit to Galveston. Staying at the Violet Hour was okay but we did have multiple issues. For starters i did not know that we would be staying on the 3rd floor, that was a challenge seeing my wife had recent surgery. The A/C filters were very dirty and we went to Walmart for new ones. Multiple chairs were loose and broken. The first night the freezer wasn't working our ice cream melted and we had to throw it away. Among other minor issues the property staff worked quickly to resolve all these issues. Since this condo is on the 3rd floor i am sure we won't be returning to this one in particular.

Great place with room for the whole extended family. The only hitch we had was figuring out sleeping arrangements for all 10 people when we got there. When looking for the second 'twin' bed in one of the king size bedrooms (as advertised on the site), you get instead a twin size mattress pushed up along the side of the washer and dryer. This is entirely workable but it would've been nice to have a heads up and not have to go hunting for it.
