Buddhists believe that the prayer flags generate spiritual vibrations that are released when blown by the wind and the prayers are carried in the air like silent prayers. Any person and place touched by the wind will be happier and uplifted. (May be that's the reason why people on Himalayas are always happy) There are 2types of Prayer flags: 1.Lungta(horizontal) & 2. Darchor(vertical) come in set of five 5 flags in 5 different colors and 5 pure lights. Each color represents the 5 basic elements: blue for space, white for air, red for fire, green for water and yellow for earth. Buddhists believe that balancing these elements brings harmony to the environment and good health to the body and the mind. Thus benefitting all.. These Lungta prayer flags are said to bring happiness, long life and prosperity to the flag planter and those in the vicinity. Because the symbols and mantras on prayer flags are sacred, they should be treated with respect. They should not be placed on the ground or used on clothing. Old prayer flags should be burned. The staff were incredibly helpful, from arranging taxis to suggesting great places to visit. The food was truly authentic and delicious. The atmosphere was peaceful and calm, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind.

The room was fine , staff is very caring, breakfast and dinner both very good. The view from the room is decent. The building does not have and heating so it gets quite cold. For the room they provide portable heater. But the hotel is nowhere near the city center, it is a 25 minute drive to the city center. Also a l9t of construction going on the hotel's street.
