“We had an absolute wonderful stay at Hygge Memories. The house was beautiful and spotless, and had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway! The lake front view was stunning - the perfect backdrop for relaxing and making memories! The location was ideal-close to everything, yet peaceful and private. “To answer your "did the host seem welcoming" question, there was no interaction with a host...just the rental company. We did get a few emails that seemed like automated communications with door code, etc. But nothing warm or welcoming. The house was fine, but maybe could have been a bit cleaner. I do understand that it is difficult to keep a large property like this one in top notch condition when there are renters in and out of it week after week. “We stayed for a long weekend at “Almost heaven”. We really enjoyed the location- just a walk across the street to enjoy the dock and small beach area! (We brought our kayak and paddleboards and were able to just walk them over to get on the lake!) The location is great for a trip to the state park and close to town for necessities. “Loved all the games to play in the basement! The heat was not working the best & I messaged the host (through VRBO & privately) a day before the booking and they never answered… there was a heating issue so it was quite chilly in the home up until the last day I felt like it started working again. Other than that everything was super nice & clean & we had everything we needed. (Besides a normal size strainer to drain water from my noodles) ”
