Apartment was fabulous - could not fault (although the hairdryer was so caked in dust that it overheated after 30 seconds of use - we cleaned it and it was fine thereafter). There was a lack of communication initially despite messaging through Expedia and then WhatsApp. No check in instructions received until we were outside the property. Paid to check in early and paid city tax but no receipt given. We were then awoken the following morning to a lady at the door asking for us to pay again. Incorrect door code given which left us stranded outside for half an hour until someone else opened the door for us. No communication from host until had an hour after we had been let in. Location is perfect and if it were not for the poor management, we would have given 5 stars.

Room very nice, clean and warm, really enjoy the place and location.
Clearly was wrote down if we don’t see anyone from staff during our stay to leave the 20zl on the table. Meantime on Sunday morning @8:00 entry phone ringing as there is no tomorrow, then this note was left on the door was completely unnecessary :(((

There was no communication before arrival, no information on how to access the room was given. We had to call the number provided at the hotels.com webpage, but it was only a pre-recorded voice with information to go to the 'reception' two doors down, however the code did not work. We called hotels.com and they could not reach anybody either. Luck had it that other residents let us into the 'reception' at Sweet Suites, where the telephone voice told us to go, and we found a different phone number. We were given the code to the door and our apartment. A very stressful an unneccesary experience. At least send out information in advance. I have stayed at several hotels where there was no reception, but this was the first time no information was provided in advance. Do better!!! The area was perfect. The room was really nice and as described on the pictures. It was quiet, comfortable and spotless. Would be even better if there was one more pillow pr person and I suggest the cleaners check the lamps as one was not working on our stay. There is no WiFi in the apartment which was a big let down. The only communication we got from Lavoo was an email asking when we would checknout and to give a 10 star rating.... are you joking me? I know Lavoo will answer this post with absolutely no understanding or humbleness, as they have on other revies with less than excellent feedback. Great room, great area but to stay here you need to have nerves to wait for check in information.

It apartment it self was just like the pictures. Unfortunately it was very cold in the building, so we had to move to another hotel due to the noise and temperature. We were not informed about this situation when we booked..

Adresse forvirring, men godt hotel.

Trods forvirring omkring hotellets faktiske adresse, som pludseligt ændrede sig på dagen fra den hyggelige lille hvide bygning “Lavoo boutique and apartments” til et stort nybyggeri, som stadig var under opbygning, så var hotelværelset det rigtige udefra billederne og det var helt igennem fantastisk at bo på. Så bedre info fra hotellet omkring beliggenhed kunne være nyttigt, da vi sagtens kunne have fundet et andet hotel til samme pris, i samme område som det faktisk lå. Vi gik efter den originale beliggenhed i centrum af “Old town”, men fik ikke dette.

Modern apartment, clean. Nice location generally. Air-conditioning does not work, almost impossible to get in contact with reception. Stressful when you're trying to plan things before you arrive. I'd stay elsewhere next time because of this.

Absolutely loved our stay! The apartment is in a fantastic location-everything is walkable and all main attractions are just seconds away. The space itself was spotless and extremely comfortable. The host, always responsive and helpful throughout our visit. We had a great experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and beautiful city of Gdansk.

33C in bedroom in summer. No fan or AC in unit.

The property is in an amazing location. We had a penthouse which was spacious and the kitchen was well appointed. Self check in was easy enough. The upstairs sleeping area was extremely hot and uncomfortable, about 33C. There is AC in the unit, but it was either broken or from the looks of it disabled by the property. There was no fan in unit. Opening all the windows in the downstairs didn't help cool the upstairs. The roof windows were not able to be opened to let the heat out and the blinds on them were broken making the sleeping area extremely bright starting at 5:40. If the property fixed / turned on the AC or had a fan in the room, I would have given them a 9.5.
