"This is a grand lady of a hotel. A little bit tired in places but it has a good feeling to it. It reminds me of a cruise liner. The Reception staff are efficient but lack warmth, and the food and beverage staff are mostly chaotic, but if you brace yourself for it and allow for extra time and mistakes, you get there in the end - some more experienced staff at breakfast save the day. The whole food offering could do with an overhaul - it’s neither exciting nor extensive. However, for all that, the hotel has a charm about it, a location, a setting and poolside that is fabulous, so it makes it my hotel of choice in Valletta."

"We had a fantastic stay at the Verdi St George's Bay. Booked a large family room with Balcony and had great views over the bay. Room was spotlessly clean, with the essential kettle and plentiful supply of teabags and coffee. Breakfast was excellent, and we had access to the indoor facilities (pool & gym) at the sister hotel (Corinthian) next door. We were visiting in January so it was a touch fresh to be using the selection of outdoor pools. Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay."
