A wonderful stay!

We had an amazing stay at the villa. We were a group of 9 - 6 adults and 3 children under 6. The house was perfect. Giovanni, the owner was so welcoming and accommodating. He checked in with us throughout our stay to make sure everything was perfect and it was! We spent most of our time in the outdoor areas- the beautiful patio, gardens and pool. This house is perfect for a group! Thank you Giovanni, for an amazing first stay in Sicily!

Fantastisch!

Die Villa ist traumhaft gelegen in einer Zitronenplantage, blitzblank sauber. Giovanni war ein perfekter Gastgeber, äußerst zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Er hat uns per WhatsApp auf dem Laufenden gehalten, Wein und Zitronen vorbeigebracht. War immer zur Stelle, wenn wir ihn brauchten oder Fragen hatten. Ein ausgezeichneter Service! Die Villa selbst ist aus dem 18. Jahrhundert, liebevoll möbliert und bietet alles, was man mit einer Gruppe von 8-10 Personen braucht. Blitzblank sauber, Video überwacht, mit Terrassen und einer perfekten Außenküche und einem sauberen Pool. Wirklich einzigartig und wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Danke, Giovanni!

Perfect Place

This villa was everything and more. It is private and close to all! Plenty of room and the pool is so inviting!! You can pick your own herbs to cook with. Relax by the beach than come back and jump in the pool! Rooms are large and open. The host was extremely hospitable. He stayed in communication with us during our stay I would highly recommend this villa.

Beyond our expectation!

Omg this house and the hospitality by the host was top notch. Our experience has become a memory for life, living in the middle of an ecological garden where lemontrees surround you is beyond our expectation. Imagine waking up in the middle of the garden of Eden. The localisation of the property is very strategic if you want to visit great beaches, Taormina and the surrounding cities. The host was one of a kind, making sure that our visit would not lack anything. We are allready planning our next visit.

Villa Due Leoni

The house was more rustic than expected, and it would have been nice to know a caretaker liver on site. Not a problem, but it would have been nice to know. View of Mt. Etna was stunning, and the pool was maintained well. Surrounding area was a bit intimidating, and the entrance gates took some work. But overall, a nice place and very attentive hosts.

Great spot and a wonderful host

The villa has a rustic charm and the outdoor patio area was a great space for all the family and the kids loved all the fruit trees. Really helpful that the pool and steps are gated off to keep safe for the children. Giovanni was super helpful and easy to contact. Great time had by all :-)

Vakkert ferieparadis

Herlig villa med vakker hage og basseng. Stemningsfullt og godt tilrettelagt uteareal. Kjempefordel at bassengområdet kan låses av, på tidspunkter det ikke er i bruk. Eksotisk beliggenhet på sitrongård med utsyn mot havet og mot Etna. Vi kommer igjen! :)

Beautiful property and amazing hosts

We had the most amazing 10 days here. The villa and surrounding grounds were beautiful, and the pool was huge. Very popular with the younger members of our party. The hosts were kind and helpful, and even left gifts of fresh fruit, veg and home made wine. A truly fabulous break, cannot recommend highly enough.

Wonderful house and hosts

We had a great stay at the Due Leone house and would happily come back again. We were two families staying with five kids aged 2-7 y/o. We had no issues in this regard. The place felt very safe for kids. The pool, for example, can be locked. The location is good. Riposto - the nearby small town - has what you need in terms of groceries, food market, ice cream, etc. It’sa very short drive. Otherwise Mount Etna, Siracusa, Noto are all a distance that can be done as a daytrip. The house is beautiful and surrounded by a big lemon grove. The furniture and beds are not luxurious but were definitely acceptable. We didn’t miss anything. The hosts were so kind and responsive. We HIGHLY recommend this place.

Fijne vakantie

Heerlijk verblijf. Alles is goed voorzien. Ideaal om te verblijven met kinderen dankzij het grote zwembad. We maakten dagelijks gebruik van het grote terras, buitenkeuken. Ook heel gastvrij ontvangen door mr.en mevr. Foti die zorgden voor wijn verse kruiden en limoenen. Topverblijf dat prachtig is gelegen met zicht op etna en zee.

Beautiful house in a beautiful setting

There was 6 adults and 2 small children, with lots of space still in the house. The house is set in lemon tree farm which is lovely. The pool was fantastic especially with small children. Both day and night had fantastic views of Etna. The lovely couple who own the property Mr & Mrs Forti are very caring and can’t do enough (even brought us local wine :-). Always checking to see if we need anything’s for everything was ok. We had one small problem with electrics due to a big storm, but Mr & Mrs Forti got it sort straight away with no hesitation. We will be looking to come back next year!! Highly recommend!! Thank you Mr & Mrs Forti

Peaceful retreat in lemon grove

We, a three generation family of 8, had a wonderful week at Villa Due Leoni. We especially enjoyed the pool area and terrace and had long breakfasts and dinners at the outdoor table. The house is big, well equipped and with lots of character. Communication with caretaker and owners was smooth and friendly. There are a couple of things to consider. There were lots of mosquitos and wasps, which is good to know if you are allergic. Secondly it is good to have a car to make excursions in the area. The promenade into town is not the most picturesque. Overall we highly recommend Villa Due Leoni for a nice family vacation.

Ruime villa met zwembad gelegen tussen de zee en Etna

De woning ligt in het midden van een boomgaard. Vanuit Giarre geraak je vlot in Taormina, in de Alcatara-kloof, op Etna of tot in Catania. Je kan rustdagen aan het zwembad en op het terras dus vlot combineren met mooie excursies.

Superbe résidence

Nous avons passé une super semaine en famille dans un cadre magnifique.La maison typique est très spacieuse et fonctionnelle ce qui permet à chacun de ne pas empiéter dans l’intimité de l’autre. La piscine et tout l’espace extérieur sont sécurisés pour les enfants.Nous avons été accueilli chaleureusement par les propriétaires qui sont au petit soin ,généreux et très serviables pour rendre le séjour agréable. Cette location est exceptionnelle et très bien située . Elle adaptée pour une ou plusieurs familles.Nous recommandons vivement.

Atmospheric holiday home on lemon plantation

We were two families with young children and have a lot of experience renting holiday homes. The house used to be a winery, but after some accident long time ago it was made into a lemon plantation in stead. That is why the living rooms has a very high ceiling (this was where they stored the wine before). We had a really good time! The house is a little dated, but everything works fine. All bedrooms have AC, although some of the beds are more comfy than others. All bedrooms are on the second floor, which makes it easy walking between the outside/pool area, and to your room. The outside area is very nice with shaded areas, sun chairs with cushions etc. There is a fantastic view of Etna and the area around. The pool has a fence around - perfect when you have small children. There is also an outside kitchen if you want to make food out doors. There is a fridge both downstairs and upstairs which makes it easy cooling water, drinks, food etc. They have a dishwasher. We had good communication with the elderly couple Mr and Mrs Foti. They came almost every day. They are happy to help and answer questions. There are also workers coming and going, as it is a working lemon plantation. Although they don't come into the house or pool area, some might feel that there is always someone else around. Since there are many trees around, you also have many midges. The electrical system might need an upgrade, as lights often flash when starting for instance the AC. You must have a car to get to the house, and the house has enough parking space. The road is a little bumpy and narrow right at the end, but that's part of the experience. Giarre was not the nicest of towns, but there are many nice towns and villages around that the Fotis can tell you about. We went to Etnaland, to Etna of course, and there are many good wineries in the area (we went to Planeta and Barone di Villagrande - both recommended). I also recommend the bakery Piccolo Forno, 10 min driving from the house. All in all we had a great time. We spent many hours in the pool and sunbed area. There is also an area in front of the house where there is a little space to play ball games. There are a lot of nice decorations and plants out side which give the place a nice charm. We would not mind coming again. Thank you for a great stay!
