Casa Rosa is a renovated farmhouse amidst a beautiful natural environment: 2 hectares of vineyards, cherry trees and a wooded valley ideal for your summer picnic. On one side you can admire the Mount Etna and on the other side the coast: a landscape of 150 km that stretches until Taormina, the coast of Calabria in the far north and the province of Syracuse in the south.

The ground floor has a living room with fireplace, sofa and dining table, kitchen, bathroom with toilet, bidet and shower, and a living room with double sofa-bed. In the attic there is a bedroom with large double bed, a terrace and a large bedroom with large double bed and two single beds. There is also a bathroom with toilet, bidet and shower. The garden is equipped with garden furniture including parasol and beach chairs, barbecue and various toys for children.

The fireplace also supplies the central heating, which makes Casa Rosa also suitable for a winter holiday.

Casa Rosa is an excellent base from which to explore eastern Sicily, Mount Etna and its surroundings. The village lies halfway between Catania and Taormina and just 15 kilometres from Acireale (a pretty little city, built on a plateau of lava, that is known for its Baroque churches). Giardini Naxos, a seaside resort with a sandy beach, is just 25 km from Casa Rosa (15 minutes with the highway).

Really lovely property in an excellent area will beautiful views. Everything catered for in the house and Ernesto the property manager was fantastic and so helpful. The only downside was the 'road' access and the slight isolation of the property.

The location was idyllic and the view stunning! Ernesto greeted us with olive oil, grapes from his vineyard, cheese, meats, bread, olives water and his delicious wine from his private stock. What a lovely eay to be introduced to the Etna area. Ernesto was very responsive to all our requests -a gracious host! Highly recommend!

Accueil parfait dans un endroit superbe

La location correspond à l’annonce, l’accueil d’Ernesto est très sympa avec pleins de bonnes petites surprises (marmelade, fruits, pain ...). La vue est superbe avec l’etna juste à côté. Out of this world

The photos don't do it justice, this place is INCREDIBLE. The views are totally out of this world - Mount Etna on one side, and you look out over what feels like the whole of Sicily on the other. I watched the sun rise one morning and couldn't believe my eyes. Truly stunning. Ernesto is the sweetest man, he left us fresh bread, local cheeses, fruit, his own olive oil (the best we tasted), beer, his own white wine (delicious) and lots of goodies for when we arrives which was so kind. He so showed us the cherry trees in the orchard and said we could help ourselves which was a particular highlight for the kids. Before we went I told him my son really wanted to come to Italy and pick lemons, he'd harvested his lemon trees before our trip but saved some on one tree for my children, they were over the moon and I was so touched. The house is incredibly well kitted out, had everything we needed and totally beautiful, I felt like I was in a movie the whole time. Don't hesitate to book this place, we had the trip of a lifetime and made such special memories in this house. Thank you Ernesto for everything you did for us.

Schönes Bauernhaus am Ätna

Wir haben insgesamt 13 Tage in dieser schönen Unterkunft verbracht. Die Lage mitten in den Weinbergen ist toll, ebenso wie der Blick sowohl auf das Meer als auch auf den Ätna (wenn er denn nicht in Wolken ist). Die Anfahrt aus Petrulli über den schmalen Weg ist noch in Ordnung, allerdings nur mit einem normalen Auto. Tiefergelegte Sportwagen haben hier nichts verloren. Gewöhnungsbedürftig ist dagegen die Einfahrt auf das Gelände sowie die Ausfahrt. Aufgrund einer Wand gegenüber muss man schon heftig rangieren, aber Übung macht den Meister. Hervorzuheben ist der Gastgeber Ernesto. Freundliche Begrüßung mit einem Korb Lebensmittel für die erste Zeit. Ausführliche Erklärung des Hauses und der Einrichtung. Er war auch bei kleineren Problemen wie etwa einer leeren Gasflasche für den Gas-Beistellofen sofort zur Stelle. Für Reisende, die eine ruhige Unterkunft in der Natur am Ätna suchen, ist die Casa Rosa ideal. Und trotz der Abgeschiedenheit ist Zafferana Etnea mit seinen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und Cafés nur ca. 8 Autominuten entfernt.

Beautiful house and great host

We had a wonderful time and were warmly greated by the host Ernesto, who not only gave us a lot of useful recommendations but was so nice to provide us with fresh fruits and vegetables, some drinks and local specialities. The house is beautifully located at the top of a vineyard with a great view. We will definetely try to return to Casa Rosa as soon as possible :)

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in diesem Ferienhaus, es ist abgelegen und bietet eine erstklassige Sicht auf die Ätna und auf das Meer. Sauberkeit und Ausstattung sind super, alles vorhanden was man braucht. Zufahrt mit einem PKW ohne Probleme, mit Bus oder Camper nicht möglich. Der Empfang durch Ernesto und die Erklärungen/Tipps zu Ausflügen/Märkten etc in Nähe sind sehr herzlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder, absoluter Geheimtipp.

A wonderful and tranquil stay

We had an absolutely amazing time at Casa Rosa. If you are looking to unplug and be amongst nature and silence, this is the place to be. The house itself is beautifully restored, it looks just like the photos. It is equipped with everything you could possible need. We loved the yard and surrounding area of vineyard and fruit trees. Every morning waking up and watching the sunrise over the sea was bliss, a sight we will never forget. This was a perfect stay for us and our 2 young children, lots of room inside and out. The hosts Ernesto and Maria very kind and warm. They were quick to respond to any questions and even stocked the kitchen for our arrival. I cannot say enough about this unique accommodation- we hope to return!
