FANTASTICO! this place is a gem. Highly recommend for a peaceful stay near Lago Maggiore (15 mins drive to Stresa). Excellent communication with the rental agency (Lorena @ Happy Rentals), they were very friendly and helpful and always responded quickly to any questions (via whatsapp).
The property and setting are beautiful, the house is adorable inside & out and the pool is heavenly. Everything is very clean and we had all we needed for our stay. The family who lives on the property are the sweetest (and Tobia, the cutest!), we really enjoyed chatting with Maurizio and look forward to keeping in touch! Our Italian is very rudimentary but they were very patient with us using the translate app :)
Two words of caution: there is no AC in the house so it can get pretty hot in the bedrooms in the summer, you will want to take that into consideration if anyone in your group is sensitive to the heat. The other is that the roads leading up to Vezzo are pretty narrow with sharp turns, definitely doable but you may want to prepare yourself if you’re a nervous driver or are driving a large vehicle. One more thing is that you will need to plan to drive for food, etc. There is a restaurant across the street which was recommended by Maurizio but we didn’t get a chance to make it over there, he also brought us to a cafe/bakery & market in Gignese but I didn’t get the names - there are also plentyyy of places in Stresa.
Overall I absolutely love this place and I cannot wait to go back!
