“The amount of detail and care put into the creation of this property is incredible. The yurt was cosy and welcoming. The owners were so kind, telling us about their wonderful chickens and letting us try to pet them. Communication was immediate and very understanding and professional. The location was perfect for a golden circle road trip amd if there wasnt a fulloon, the colors of the Aurora would have been mind blowing. Loved everything about the stay (especially the breakfast that was packed……

“Check in and communication was very convenient. The place is very nice and cozy. Kitchenette has everything we needed. Perfect for group. It perfect weather and sky conditions, perfect spot for norther lights! We had also an opportunity to see a little bit of the aurora! ”

“The accommodation looked exactly like the photos and was spotless. It was located right next to Kerið Crater, making it easy and convenient to step outside at night to watch the northern lights. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the hot tub, which was a bit disappointing. It’s definitely a place we would love to stay at again and highly recommend to others.”

“The instructions were not accurate in getting into the unit and it took pver 15 min to get in. The bedding was dirty and looked used. There was zero heat and was very very cold. The hot tub was not filled and warm and when i asked i was given a rude explanation on it and that thw instructions in the unit would explain. They didnt. They were not able to fix the heat and i had 2 seniors and a child ao we had to bundle up. So not worth the money. ”

“We had an amazing 2 nights in yurt Freya. Rick was a thoughtful and friendly host who really made us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we needed. The space itself is beautiful with many fun little touches, and we were extremely comfortable during our stay. The breakfast each day was also amazing. If you are looking at this listing and thinking you might enjoy staying in a funky little space like this, I absolutely recommend it as a base of operations for your southern Iceland/golden……

“Photos can not capture the beautiful scenery at the villa. You are surrounded by nature and the view of the Northern Lights surrounds the area when they are dancing. Our teens, young adults, middle-aged, and senior family members were all able to enjoy the spacious layout. Travel to local sights is easy and worth it in order to be in the tranquil quiet by the lake. I highly recommend staying here. The owners are wonderful hosts.”
