Perfect father-and-sons getaway

The cabin was a touring base for my sons and me, allowing us to hike (to Wapta Falls), do some whitewater rafting (right next door at Hydra Rafting), and chill around the campfire. My boys are in their thirties so we don't get a lot of opportunities to do this. The cabin and the setting were perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay here! Cabin was clean and comfortable, and the entire area was quiet and surrounded by trees. Our host was immediately responsive to our email when we had WiFi troubles and we got it quickly resolved. I would def book again :)

Spring Break Getaway

Great cabin - lots of space and all the amenities we needed for our stay. Close to skiing. Great location for dog walks, and we were so glad to find this dog-friendly accommodation. The teens were happy with the loft, and the adults were happy with the bedroom :)

Perfect rustic cabin

We had a wonderful time at the cabin, it was absolutely perfect for us, the right amount of space for a family of 5 but could easily fit a few more. Great location, a short drive from Golden and far enough to feel like you are really away from it all. The cabin has a comfortable, lived in feel feel that makes it perfect for kids and let us relax.

Perfect Log Cabin

We immediately felt at home in Steve's log cabin. Warm, comfortable and in a fantastic location (in the "wilderness", yet only a mile from Highway 1). Perfect for skiing at Lake Louise and birding along the Columbia wetlands. We absolutely loved our stay!

Nice homey cabin!

The cabin is perfect in every way - just off the highway and nestled in the woods but not isolated. Very clean with comfortable bedding. We cooked all our meals in and the kitchen is well stocked. Stone fireplace and log interior makes it very cozy. My daughter and I had a great time hiking, especially Wapta falls. We’d come back to this cabin again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful place

This cabin was perfect for us. This log cabin is comfortable and cozy. The downstairs bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. The covered deck is great for barbecuing and enjoying the view. The location is perfect for use as a base camp to explore the Parks. We stayed 8 days and enjoyed all of the time

Family Vacation

This was the perfect location for our family to stay while exploring the local national parks. We really wanted to visit Banff, Yoho and Kootenay but preferred to also stay somewhere away from all the crowds. This cabin was great for that. It was still a drive to get to each place but we were pretty centrally located to all the places we wanted to visit. It was wonderful to have a clean, beautiful cabin to come back to each day to relax, make meals and play games together.

Sweet spot from which to venture

The cabin was perfect for our stay. It was comfortable and cozy, peaceful and quiet. We loved waking up to the gas fire in the fireplace keeping the place a comfortable temperature. The location was great for short drives to hike in Yoho National Park and around Golden. We would definitely recommend this cabin and would stay here again! Our stay at the cabin was excellent. It's located in a quiet, scenic location that is easily accessible from the highway. Close to Golden and perfect for skiing at nearby resorts (we skied Lake Louise). The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Cabin is well cared for and was very clean. My favorite part was sitting around the firepit, enjoying the mountain scenery and all the stars in the sky. We would come back again!

Serenity with stunning views

My cousins and I stayed at the cabin for 4 nights while exploring Yoho National Park. The cabin is exactly as pictured and is one of 20 cabins about 20 minutes from Golden. The cabin was perfect for our party of four and communication with the property managers was great. If you’re looking for a little peace and quiet after a day of amazing hiking, look no further. Sitting outside around the fire pit watching the stars pop out in the darkening sky was the best way to end an adventure-filled day.

Perfect Cabin in Beautiful Location

The cabin fit our group's needs perfectly for a relaxing, comfortable and clean place to relax and rest after exciting days adventuring in the surrounding mountains and lakes. Easy to access and relatively close to Golden for great restaurants and groceries, the cabin is well situated in a cozy and peaceful community of chalets right off of Highway 1. Steve and Tina were easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any questions, ensuring that our cabin was well prepared for our visit. Log Cabin, the Kicking Horse River and Sled dogs!
