「The setting in the mountains is beautiful, and the place has a fun, rustic atmosphere. However, there were several disappointments during our stay.
The listing advertises air conditioning, but it’s important to understand that the rooms are screened in, so the AC does not cool the entire room. You can only really feel it when you’re lying in bed with the curtains closed. Also, the air blows directly onto your face, and there’s no way to adjust the airflow. I actually had to sleep with my head...

「The grounds and casitas are cute and reasonably maintained. This is the second time I’ve stayed here and the pool has never been running and a little on the dirty side. Pool bar was not staffed. I had to ask the maid for a pool towel. The casita is really spacious and cute. Bed is reasonably comfortable (could use new pillows) however the room had a really strong musty, moldy smell. 「This is a true hidden gem I booked at the last moment. Arrived late night, but once the sun came up, you were in true paradise. Everywhere your eyes landed, beautiful existed. From the bedroom suite to the bathroom to the porch, to diner area, to the natural spring pool. Breathe taken. I need to plan a trip just to experience this boutique hotel again. Thank you staff for showing me the beauty of the people and of Belize.」

「Lovely place overall, and we truly enjoyed our stay. However, my friends and I specifically booked this location because we were looking forward to using the pool. Unfortunately, it was not up and running during our visit. We do wish this had been communicated to us in advance, as it did impact our experience.」
