We booked this holiday because of the photos on their website. The grounds are beautifully kept but very small, we saw no cabanas at all, no outside gym and were disappointed on arrival. The pool looks inviting but it was freezing - be aware its not heated. We were on 'All Inclusive' but this doesn't include bottled water. You get two free in your room on arrival and then you have to pay. You have to pay a deposit for the towels, a deposit for the safe and then its Euros 3 a day and if you want to borrow an iron, you have to pay a deposit for that too. The food wasn't very good. Overcooked and mostly cold. Hygiene wasn't great, I saw one cook touch her face, then took some egg shell out of someones fried egg she was cooking using the same hand. They don't use fresh eggs for omelettes but buy in bottled mixed egg! Yuk. The uncooked meat and fish was kept by the hot plate it was to be cooked on and it was left there not kept cool for some time. I basically went vegetarian which was poor. Their chips and roast potatoes were nice. On the last day a cockroach fell from the top of the tea and coffee making area on our table. We caught it in a glass, showed the waiter and he shrugged his shoulders. If you see one cockroach you know there are hundreds more hiding. The bedroom was kept clean. Very disappointing to say the least. Will definitely not be going back there or to any Barcelo hotel. However, the sand dunes at Maspalomas were amazing.
