Blissful Seclusion

This rental is tucked away in a very small town surrounded by mountains and forest. Peaceful and secluded, but easy enough to travel to a larger town for supplies. The property itself has a strong feeling of a family cabin, which it is, so it's easy to feel right at home. This was our second stay, and very likely not our last.

Too Rustic for our liking

Our recent Vacasa rental experience led to an early check-out. While we appreciated the excellent location, spacious yard, fire pit, and nearby wildlife, the cabin itself presented several challenges. We found cleanliness concerns upon arrival and maintenance issues with screens, the toilet, cooktop, furniture, and lighting.Our interactions with Vacasa were also disappointing; despite consistently raising these serious property concerns, their responses often focused on no refunds, even though we hadn't asked for one. This felt unprofessional and highlighted a disconnect regarding property conditions. We sincerely hope the funds from our unused two nights will be allocated towards much-needed repairs and a deep cleaning.Ultimately, this property might not be the best fit for everyone's expectations, and we hope this feedback aids future improvements.

No heat

There is no heat in this cabin, only a decorative gas stove that partially works. Thermostat on wall does nothing. Owner has a binder on table with instructions for lighting stove, but the stove does not actually provide any heat. I texted Wayne, the property manager and he said switch on back of stove circulates warm air and thermostat on wall regulates heat, wrong, neither one works. I did not stay and reported the issue to Vrbo and Vacasa, a refund was not issued because their policy states only the property owner can issue a refund. Owner did not issue a refund because they claim I left before resolving the issue (also no cell service here, only wi fi).Do not stay here unless you like a cold cabin or bring several space heaters. Customer service with Vrbo, Vacasa and owner was unacceptable.
