The hotel is clean, hygienic and reasonably priced. The location is great, inside the Grand Canyon. The facilities are new and the environment is quiet. The only drawback is the poor Internet. But we'll be happy to come again next time.

I didn't realize how far the rooms were from the main building or I would have asked for an accessibility room because of a recent knee replacement. Didn't really enjoy not having a working television in the room. I finally woke up. The staff however, was super nice and the room was clean. The setting is very nice too and the grocery store is convenient

It was very rustic, lovely, quiet, and woodsy. The Elk were roaming about and that was so nice to see. We were able to follow the paved paths all the way from our room to the village, which was great!

I was amazed at the condition of our room!! We were in the East building 5 and everything was very well maintained and clean. I was really expecting it to be more run down/rustic, but it was a pleasant surprise. Housekeeping friendly and efficient. Can’t say more.

Nice big room for 4. Nice toiletries. Bus stop near by. Only bad thing -arriving at night, even with a map of the resort, it is REALLY difficult to find your building since there are very few lights and the building numbers are hard to find and to read.

We enjoyed our stay. Loved the location and the feel of being in the "wilderness" without actually being there.There were some minor connection problems with the internet as well as the TV keeping a connection but honestly it performed better than we expected and we only used briefly after sundown since we were out all day. I also loved that we were close to the general store and a few options for food. We would highly recommend, especially at the price compared to the other accommodations in the park.

Our plan was to have this place be our first proper family meal after 3 days on the road only to arrive and be notified that the restaurant was closed and had been closed for renovations; That information wasn’t updated anywhere on the lodge page or booking sites which honestly is deceiving. The only option was the tavern, which offered very limited options (bar food only), same story for breakfast, only option was a cheap cafe with premade food with an 1 day left expiring date. Once in the room we were only provided 2 towels in the room which wasn’t enough for a family of three; we called the front desk twice to request additional towels in a 2 hour period but never received them! Unfortunately, most of the staff encountered were rude and dismissive. The room had a brand new smart tv but no internet or cable which is kind of ironic, a bad joke. The room was comfortable, but with all the details mentioned above we didn’t really enjoy our stay. If you decide to book here, eat somewhere else before arriving, and bring a book or another electronic to unwind at night. We will definitely be booking somewhere else next time.

We did not know what to expect based on reviews, but my daughter and I loved our stay. The front desk staff was always helpful and friendly with all of our questions. Loved the shuttle system all around The South Rim. Rooms were super clean and the bathroom toiletries were great! We would definitely stay again!

The Yavapai Lodge is in the Grand Canyon Village which is inside the Grand Canyon National Park. This hotel is the farthest away from the main part of the village and restaurants. Rooms are in separate buildings 5-10 min. walk from hotel desk. It is too far to walk to village and restaurants but the bus transportation during the day runs every 15 minutes, 30 after sunset for 1 hr. Most restaurants require taking a bus (almost NO parking in heart of village) so need to plan eating around bus sched. Buildings are dated as are the rooms. Bathroom sink is low. The faucets are high velocity/low volume. Takes a while to fill a glass. Rooms are dark even with all lights on. Not enough plugs to charge watch, phone, computer, etc. They ask you to reuse towels but don't provide towel bars or hooks to hang your towels to dry. They have body wash, shampoo, and conditioner bottles in shower but all 3 have the SAME liquid in them! Bring your own. They also ask you do not use maid service. TV is NOT HD! Staff was very helpful. All this and they charge a significant premium because they are located in the park. Look elsewhere.
