Older lodge for all Your basic needs. The pool was so fun for the kids and the hot tub was relaxing for parents. Smaller than pictured but still nice. Clean but older set up. There was breakfast (bagels, cereal, coffee etc.) very basic but so kind to have it out. Location is amazing- close to Lake Superior. Quick drive to the peninsula to explore. Overall lovely and homey. Could use a cosmetic upgrade but our needs were met staying at the Aspen Lodge!

There is no television or elevator at this property. Our room was clean and the continental breakfast minimal - no OJ. And no bathroom other than in your room. The restaurant, My Sister's Place, is an easy walk from the hotel and all we needed. At $186 per night, they should buy new full size smart TVs so we can at least mirror our devices.

Clean room, great staff. Room service wasn’t done daily you had to call a number for service. Ran out of toilet paper night #1 as it only had 1/4 roll in it. Continental Breakfast was great and plenty of options. Would definitely stay here again.

The second you enter one of the side doors it hits you. the carpets are filthy and stained, and the hallways are very musty smelling. Upon making the reservation, we were not informed that there wasn't an elevator, and we had to lug our things up two flights of stairs, which wasn't easy at our age. There was no microwave oven or coffee maker in the room. When we requested another roll of toilet paper, the clerk acted like we were asking for his bank account password. What was described as free breakfast was only a continental style breakfast with very few choices. Bathroom was so small there was barely room to turn around. There was, however, a bottle opener mounted within arm's reach while using the toilet, so I guess that was supposed to be a perk! At least if you're a red-neck. The room had the smallest TV I have ever seen in any hotel room I have ever stayed in. There were no USB ports for charging electronic devices. The climate control worked well. and the beds were fairly comfortable, so not everything was bad. overall...a poor experience.
