Terrace Point on Lake Superior

Do you value privacy, Lake Superior views from every room, and light? So do we. Terrace Point 11A is an upper end unit that is situated in a way that offers outstanding privacy without compromising the view. It is just fifty-feet from Lake Superior with over twenty-six feet of windows. Even on the darkest of days this unit is filled with light! If you value cozy - we have you covered. Our one-bedroom unit offers outstanding Lake Superior views from the king-size bed. Our bathroom offers a walk-in shower and Kohler Jacuzzi type soaker tub. In-floor radiant heat warms you while watching a November storm unfold. Besides the incredible views in the living room there is also a gas fireplace framed with North Shore Ledge-rock. It is hard to leave the two Fjord swivel leather recliners which allow you to shift between the 180-degree Lake Superior views, the fireplace, and the Smart TV (that disappears into the wall when not in use). We encourage you to take advantage of our fully stocked kitchen and enjoy your meals on our dining table with lake views or if the weather is nice take advantage of the private deck. Sitting outside and watching the waves endlessly splash against the ledge rock, catching sunrises and sunsets, star gazing and if you are lucky we might even catch a glimpse of the aura borealis (a favorite of many visitors). Terrace Point is the perfect place for artists, bird watchers, star gazers, nature lovers, and adventure seekers. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, a special place to escape the city, explore the Gunflint Trail, hike the Superior Hiking Trail, learn a new skill at the North House Folk School, downhill or cross country ski, experience the local music scene or shop "The Coolest Small Town in America" (Grand Marais).... this is truly the perfect place! We would love to share this special place with you.

Important - Please note:
- Our unit is very accessible – no stairs / walk-in shower

-Terrace Point is an entire “Smoke-Free” property - there is no smoking allowed in the condo OR on the entire grounds.

- Our parking area does not have the space to accommodate trailers or campers.

- Please do not walk on the lakeside in front of other units. Use the back-parking area if you’d like to access the shoreline.

Amazing property and location! It was perfect for me & my husband. The views are incredible and the unit is nicely furnished and clean. The bed was cozy and the waves crashing up on shore provided the best backdrop. It was great being between so many dining and hiking options. We will return!

Quiet convenient location. Comfortable bed and chairs. It got very hot during the day due to east, west exposure and needs air conditioning esp with the Canadian wildfire air quality and climate change. Sits right on Lake Superior.

Great location and cozy stay

The location overlooking Superior is amazing and it's proximity to downtown Grand Marais is great. The house was cozy and clean, and we loved the fireplace. Hosts were super responsive to questions. We'll definitely be back!

Great place to stay with unique style

We stayed here for a 3 day trip and were impressed with the design and amenities of this unit. Less than a 10 minute drive to Grand Marais and has an amazing view of of the deck.

Fall road trip

The unit was great - the design, the view, the location. We hit perfect timing for the leaves. The hike to Oberg Lake near Lutsen was stunning! We lucked out on the weather, too, great our entire stay.

Superior in Every Way

Over the years my husband and I stayed at dozens of properties on the North Shore. This is my first time returning to Terrace Point (after 15 years) and everything about it exceeded my expectations. The panoramic view of the lake is second to none and I spent hours in the reclining chairs gazing at the water and the moon. The property was immaculately clean and the check in/check out process was simple. The owners even texted me on the first morning to see if I had any questions. Great communication!

Excellent place to stay

This is our second time staying at Pam and Charlie’s place. They are excellent hosts and respond quickly to any questions/concerns. The condo is very clean and has an awesome view of Lake Superior. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, coffee filters, etc. I highly recommend staying here!!

Walked in and felt right at home. Very well appointed. We did explore the area and the Gunflint trail but we were just as happy out on the deck taking in the beautiful view. At night, fell asleep to the sound of the waves.

The view of the lake is phenomenal! We apent most of our time watching and listening to the lake. We warched the moon rise over the lake one evening and it was beautiful. We could see quite a few stars, even with a bright moon.

Another wonderful stay in this lovely property

This was our second stay in this beautifully designed property. The property offers an ideal location — close to Grand Marais but in a pristine, peaceful location. The Frank Lloyd Wright design with panoramic windows present the ideal way to start and end your day. We enjoyed stunning sunrises and moonrises. We were sad to end our stay and head back to reality. Highly recommend this property and the welcoming hosts who own it.

Cold getaway

We were hoping to ski Lutsen, but with the cold temps, we wanted a special place that would make it worth the trip l, even if we didn't get out much. This place delivered. Owners are super friendly and helpful. It is meticulously organized and just plain beautiful. We hated to leave and hope to one day come back.
