Saturday Mar 26 4:18p host texted, "Check your booking channel and/or email for more info on checking in."
I immediately replied, "I checked both and don't see any check-in info. Could you please post it here in the working text messaging?"
16 hours later, 8am Sunday, I followed up texting "?"
At 10:22am you texted building access and apartment codes.
We arrived Sunday at 4pm, wandering around the castle looking for parking and trying to enter your access codes into West wing 2s and East wing 2s entrances.
At 4:30 you repeated that I needed check-in instructions to access the property, that I told you 24hours before this that I hadn't received in email, the VRBO website, the VRBO app, nor by text.
At 4:45pm you gave me the needed info by text, and we were able to park and enter the room at 5pm.
I'm frustrated that I told you Sat afternoon that I didn't receive the instructions, and you left my family wandering around for an hour trying to get into our castle room.
Mitten responded with "Our detailed instructions were
successfully sent to your email multiple times, the same one you have just now responded from as well. "
Even though we texted them for over 24hours that we were missing the info, they just responded check your email.
I've worked as an information technology professional for over 30 years - I know how email works, the needed check-in instructions weren't lost in my junk or spam folders.
Their technology logistics have some glitches, and that the staff monitoring their texting didn't take the 24-hour opportunity to prevent an hour of customer inconvenience.
VRBO support says there's nothing I can do except leave this review.
