Whidbey Island Vacation Paradise

The spacious house, wraparound deck with fire table and hot tub, coupled with beautiful sunsets provide for a very relaxing vacation. We once again very much enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful Home in Great Location

Centrally located we were able to enjoy day trips all over the island! Beautiful home inside and out, comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen, really enjoyed the wood fireplace in the living room during the evenings and watching the sunset over the sea from the hot tub after our daily excursions!

Slice of paradise on Whidbey Island

Stunning views, privacy, and regular visits by local fauna (bald eagles, chipmunk, deer) made this the ideal home for a family get-together. Expansive wraparound porch, and proximity to the Pantry Cafe were an added bonus! We look forward to future gatherings at this Smugglers Cove gem.

Great girlfriend getaway

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property. The views were stunning and we loved watching bald eagles and deer each day. The rooms were really comfortable and the hot tub and sauna were an extra fun treat. The cozy kitchen was well outfitted for cooking. The only challenge we experienced was spotty to non-existent wi-fi (the hotspot just wasn’t strong enough to connect) or cell service (esp. Verizon), so we used that as an excuse to truly unplug and relax. Our group of friends enjoyed having this home as our getaway as well as a great location for exploring the island. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

The home with its spacious interior and wrap around deck offered both ample space for privacy and family group activities. The ocean views and beautiful sunsets were enjoyed by all. The hot tub, fire table, and sauna elevated the overall vacation ambience of the property. The only shortcoming was the grill on the deck needed replacement.

We had a great time! The house and especially the location are beautiful!!! Amazing sunsets, beautiful yard with wildlife. The large covered wrap around porch makes it a great place for a girls weekend anytime of year 😊 we can’t wait to come back

If it were my property, I would remove the ivy tree and any other volunteers to maximize the view of the water from the house. I had warm sunny days and spent a lot of time on the porch. I longed for an Adirondack chair and a hammock in the yard to really feel those vacation vibes.

Wonderful Island getaway

We absolutely loved the house as well as the location and setting of the house. I would buy this house if it was for sale. The sunsets were breathtaking.

Beautiful views, spacious, quiet location, comfortable

The home was beautiful, it was a very quiet location, very private like setting. The home was clean and so very inviting. I cannot complain about its beauty, how comfortable and at home we felt. It is perfect for most people, I have no doubt. We are a family of 5 from Missouri. We came to visit family they mostly live in the Oak Harbor area but we were looking for tue perfect house, perfect size and perfect fit and was just fine with a bit of travel as we planned to visit surrounding towns (Langley, Port Townsend, etc). The ONLY negative I can state is that (and I only state that because I hope to improve your experiences in the future): in the description it states a “short” walk to the beach. The beach is a LARGE reason why we come and spend a little extra money to allow kids to play and for us to enjoy the views and the serenity provided from the waves and the breeze. I would recommend a bit more accurate description of the walk. The walk down is “ok” however, it’s quite steep and definitely not appropriate from someone who is elderly, out of shape ir have breathing/health problems…because the walk back up to the house is PAINFUL. It is extremely steep, not much opportunity for resting up for those requiring a bit more time. It’s just misleading and was disappointing for some of our visitors as it definitely limited some of our family time. The other concern I have is that it was a bit difficult to get in touch with the person who oversees the property. If I called I did get an answer and that was fine, however, with my service carrier, calling wasn’t always an option, messaging while being in WiFi was. One question was about trash pick up day because with a family of 5 and cooking most all meals at home, trash was filling up quickly and I didn’t want the wild life to get into it, creating a mess or an injury. I didn’t ever get a response and so I was/am concerned that if it wasn’t taken care of right away that I could be held accountable for a mess/issue that I was trying to be prepared for. We would have gladly made sure the trash cans were at the road in plenty of time. These are very minor complaints. I would definitely consider returning, should it be an available property in the future.

Great friends trip

Had a wonderful stay here. The house was perfect for two families with two toddlers. Very well stocked. Had great games and puzzles. Only complaint was the hot tub was cold and the initial person I called to talk to about it wasn’t very friendly. The second person was great though. We also booked before there was a hot tub so although disappointing it didn’t work we would have stayed without one anyways.

Time spent with family

The house was lovely and all the rooms very cozy. The upstairs porch off the two bedrooms was a nice retreat to enjoy a morning cup of coffee in peace while watching a pair of nesting bald eagles cruise by. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor fireplaces and the addition of the hot tub. The grounds were well maintained and trail to the beach well groomed. During low tide the children spent hours finding shells and pretty rocks. The kitchen was well supplied with small appliances, dishes and cookware to accommodate our group of seven. We will hopefully be able to book this house in the future-we are thinking it would be perfect for a girls only getaway.

Lovely home, property management is a headache

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a stunning home on a very private coastline of whidbey island. Beautiful setting and well appointed house. The deck is particularly lovely. Centrally located and close to many trails / parks. We had many struggles with the property management company—extremely poor and conflicting communication, and unwillingness to be at all flexible. We were arriving during the dangerous heatwave in June 2021 with two elderly family members and despite claiming the cleaners were at the house for nearly 24 hours they could not arrange an early check in or work with us to cool down the house a bit. When asked if there was a fan in the house we were told the management company had fans but that they would be allocated on an “as needed” basis. Apparently 110 degree temps and elderly visitors does not constitute need. Despite being assured we could quickly cool down the house on arrival by opening windows, mysteriously most of the windows had no screens in them. And despite all the time seemingly allocated to cleaning, parts of the house were visibly dirty when we arrived—old food and dirt on tables, cabinets sticky to the touch. This is such a lovely place but it’s unfortunate the property management company provides such poor service.
