「Jean room with cute farmhouse theme.」

「Only issue we encountered was kind of a rude person working in the breakfast area. My husband likes his food hot and asked to use a microwave to heat his food up as it wasn't hot. And she said that could not be done and the food was hot when she put it out. I said something to the girl at the front desk and she was dumb founded as there is a microwave at her area that could of been used. Lady in breakfast area messed up as I always tip them usually very well. I will say the breakfast bar area is...

「An outstanding place and excellent host. The prairie setting is absolutely sublime, and the house was clean and cozy. It had everything we needed, including fresh cookies! We wish we would have stayed longer. Kevin was very responsive to our messages and even gave us a tour of his incredible prairie and grounds. You won’t find another place like this: it’s a complete original. Looking for an excuse to come back again for a longer stay.」

「My wife and I spent a relaxing weekend at this property. The walking trail was a 10/10 for our pups. Everything about this place was amazing and we could not recommend it enough. Kevin went out of his way to make our check in as easy as possible.」

「The house is very well maintained and cared for, the story and its relation to preserving R66 history is wonderful. The hosts were flexible with check-in timing, there is plenty of space for parking and the front porch swing adds a great vibe. Overall, a reasonably priced and comfortable stay! Would definitely recommend.」

「Return visit for us. Well located with ample space for a family and nice yard. Clean well appointed. Highly recommend. We will stay again!」

「Oh my word this place is incredible. Bed was comfortable great location and the original aspects of the old building brought up to date with modern convenience. I think Jennifer and I will be getting more acquainted because I have a hard time finding a decent place to stay when I come to my hometown to visit. Carlinville is good little town close to my hometown and made attending my best friends wedding in Gillespie a breeze. We will be back.」

「Very comfortable for our family. Well stocked with all the necessities and then some. Thank you!」

「The house is beautiful. A very comfortable stay. It was very clean and well stocked with anything you might need. The host is very gracious. She was quick to respond to any request and reached out to us when we left something behind. We were able to retrieve it before leaving town. It was a lovely place to stay. Highly recommended.」

「The place was really neat and the host was incredibly friendly」

「We were able to return to stay a few more days, and the cabin work perfectly for us. The kitchen has everything you need and all of the cookware was cleaned in great condition. The fridge, oven and dishwasher looked like they were brand new and everything worked exactly as expected. The bathroom has a tub which has a large "rain" type of shower head and there is plenty of hot water. The proximity to Beaver Dam is probably one of my favorite things about the house because my family loves to...
