Let’s start with the positives. Overall, my family and I had an amazing time in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Our location was great. There were plenty of restaurants, shopping, and activities within walking distance or just a short drive away. The beach was clean, not overcrowded, and very safe with lifeguards who were friendly and professional. Our accommodation was lovely. Our two-story beach house was charming, clean, spacious, and more or less perfect in terms of housing a large family or several couples. With that being said, the service we received from Liquid Life was sub-optimal. The tone for the week in terms of a lack of service was set immediately. Upon our arrival, we were left feeling like perhaps we had the wrong house, as our code to unlock the door wouldn’t work. As we would come to find out, we were given the wrong code entirely and had to be texted the correct one. Considering we’d been on the road for hours and were eager to check in, unpack, and get settled in, this was not the best welcome. The following day (Sunday), we realized that the icemaker in the refrigerator wasn’t working. No big deal. I texted and told my contact at Liquid Life. No response. I texted again later and was told that a maintenance request had been made. By Wednesday, we still didn’t have a working icemaker. My brother made a phone call and was told that our initial maintenance request ticket had been “lost”. Over an hour later, two service technicians arrived and fixed our icemaker.
