Plenty of open space. Well stocked with kitchen/cooking utensils. Able to fish and run crab traps right outside front door. Beach access right across highway. Mature kids can get to beach easily with bicycles.

This little bay front cottage is one of my favorite VRBO stays. It bears the wounds and scars from tropical storms yet it’s so comfortable and homey. The views from the porch are unmatched. My husband and our two dogs enjoyed our time there fishing, birdwatching, and watching the dolphins that came to play just in front of the little cottage. Chuck was fast and friendly with communication. I can’t wait to come back.

This property was a struggle for our family

The house was comfortable, yet lacked some basic items like coffee cups. The property grounds are a safety hazard. The sea wall appears to be in the process of being repaired, and rebar is sticking out in multiple places. This property is not kid-friendly.

Amazing location on the Bay!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is comfortable and well equipped. A huge perk to being able to have our beloved dog, Comet, with us. The neighborhood is quiet and felt very safe. Excellent!

What a magical place to relax and renew!

We spent a wonderful week here. It was so quiet and peaceful. We saw dolphins every day, several came right up to the seawall and looked at us up on the back porch! We spent a lot of time on the back porch, watching all of the birds and fish and other wildlife. I’ve never seen so many dolphins or different varieties of water type birds in one place! It’s a very quick trip across the street and about two blocks to several public beach accesses. We did not have a lot of great weather, but that didn’t bother us at all. Hurricane Rafael was moving in so the gulf was rolling in some impressive big waves. We were able to purchase everything we needed for our stay at the Dollar General about 5 miles or so down the road. We even got a couple of decent beach chairs there. They had a very good selection of grocery items. The sea wall and the pier are still being repaired from hurricane damage but that didn’t effect our stay. We lounged up on the back porch and watched everything going on in the bay for hours at a time. I had such a relaxing time. I wanted to come back down the first week of January, but they are already booked up through February. Instead, I booked the house next-door because I know how quiet and beautiful it is in that area! If you like a quiet beach, stay with beautiful scenery and a comfortable place to stay this is it! Chuck was very responsive to any issues that we had and took very good care of us. We will definitely stay here again!!

Would rent again

It has a few problems like the doors need weather stripping and a hump in the kitchen/dinning room floor. They emailed me the wrong code but I looked on Vrbo and it had the right one. No keys you lock with code and that’s how you get in and out. Over-all I would rent again. Quite neighborhood. We seen some dolphins while we were there.

Relaxing Holiday

Perfect! This was a perfect getaway spot for us, our son and daughter-in-law, and our dogs! Clean, easy access and perfect bay views! Great spot if you enjoy casual walks, relaxing to the sound of the bay waves and great accommodations! We’ll definitely be back!!

Loved the view and relaxing atmosphere

Overall we had a good experience. I read the reviews before we came. As mentioned the outside needs quite a bit of work and can be hazardous, especially for people with balance trouble. Loved the inside of the house and the gorgeous views though. Would have loved to stay longer.

Quiet getaway

Nice older cottage that is a stones throw from the water. My wife and I wanted a quiet place to relax and this was it. The cottage was not fancy but was very clean and had everything we needed. The outside still needs repairs to the seawall and dock but was stated in the listing. I wasn't here for fishing anyway.

Serenity, Views, Relaxing, our Furbabies!

Vacation with 4 dogs and my family, priceless! This beach house is right on the water, the views are breathtaking and it’s so quiet/peaceful. The porch is almost a wrap around, covered and plenty of room to enjoy all the nature and sea has to offer. We drank our coffee with the pelicans, seagulls and we were able to see dolphins come by us. The sunsets were beautiful and there was just enough space to have our dogs an area on the side to enjoy as well. Yes the sea wall and dock are in the process of being repaired but that shouldn’t take away from the beauty. Would definitely recommend, especially if you have dogs.

Could be best bay house in Fort Morgan !!!!

Pros: internet, tv channels available, comfort - beds, couch’s, Etc., location-location-location, porch (watching dolphins - as close as a few feet, pelicans - about 10 that stayed close by and lots more flying and fishing, loved - loved - loved the view. Loved the area !!! Cons: only one (The yard - such a beautiful bay house to let the yard go, we are in our 70’s and we had to be so careful when we walked back and fourth to our truck. We did not venture off the porch! Coming in late at night - no lights in the back - I had to hold a flashlight for my wife to walk on the very unstable walkway) I hate to have a negative but I do not understand why you would not take care of this gem of a bay house! If you decide to fix the yard, pier, boardwalk, I will be the first in line to rent !!!!!!!!!

Love it, mostly!!

The view of the bay was awesome!! Enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the dolphins. The house was very clean and stocked with essentials. The outside needs a good clean-up! Overall we will return once the outdoors is finished! Thank you for sharing your property us!!

Property redone inside!

Loved your updated furniture in the living room and bedrooms! Everything you needed to cook was available…. Outside porch was wonderful in AM and watching for dolphins and sunsetting….. Outside property was flooded, littered and dangerous if you have kids. Our dog hung out on porch mostly so not an issue. GREAT Wifi and TVs/channels. Thanks for allowing our Dog !!

Thank you to the dolphins (and Chuck)

We very much enjoyed our stay on the Bay, which we booked relatively quickly after completing a couple weeks of labor intensive hurricane relief. We were looking for a spot to unwind, fish, bring our pups, not talk to anyone and this was it. The house has extraordinary views of Mobile Bay, is minutes from the Ferry and easily walkable to the gulf. If you walk to the gulf, bring bug spray cause the mosquitos are gnarly a few blocks away- but around the house were totally fine. We ate dinner on the deck, breakfast too and even some yoga with out any bug issues (this was in late September). Chuck was a doll to communicate with- and we hope to make this an annual stop (minus the hurricane relief), after contemplating never leaving. Big thanks to the dolphins who performed several dances for us- a couple hundred feet from the heading!!
