Great location, clean, great for family

Just got back from trip. Property was as described, clean when we checked in, process was easy. Could be listed as beachfront (almost), you can sit on the front porch and look through the two beachfront houses and see the ocean. Easy to walk (maybe 75 yards or so?) to the beachfront. Quiet neighborhood. Also, this was my first rental that I did NOT have to purchase a barbecue grill (place had a decent sized one in good condition). Only cons were issues with cable / internet throughout the entire stay (until one day before we left); made it difficult/impossible for work meetings and movie viewing at night. (hopefully the 2 visits completely solved the issues for the owners and next guests).Property management was prompt in responding when we called/messaged and the person they sent was nice and was able to fix issues (door sticking and a window that wouldn't close after a storm) quickly and efficiently. If you want a laid back, chill on the beach vacation, this area is great.

Great Location and Great Layout

The house was located perfectly right across the street from the beach. It had a unobstructed view of the beach and ocean. It was fun that the Sassy Bass was within walking distance and you didn’t have to get on major road to go to the market. The house was clean and set up nicely. The house has a great layout.

Close to the beach

Pros: Excellent location. Not technically right on the beach, but practically right on the beach. The house was clean, so that’s a major plus. Kitchen was well stocked (minus any kind of spices). Cons: There were some things that needed to be repaired. Guest bath nozzle and wash rag rack kept falling off. Kitchen cabinet handles were dirty/gunked up. Hand towel holder in master bath kept falling apart. Harrison vacations rentals is stingy with all the basic necessities. For example, we got one tiny bar of soap in the guest bathroom. There are two showers and three sinks in the house, so I’m not sure why that’s all we got. There’s also no dish soap. So just be prepared to bring all your essentials. The front steps felt rickety and needed lots of boards replaced. The back steps were slightly better. Overall I would recommend this property. We had a great stay and loved being so close to the beach with an unobstructed view out front.

We had a wonderful time at this property. It was roomy and nicely decorated. We loved the view! There were plenty of beach toys and a wagon in the shed as well. The only con was the master bed was terribly uncomfortable.

Great location, as advertised

We had a great stay here. The property was just as advertised, spacious, and comfortable. Be aware that there are no spices or kitchen basics like you find at some rental properties, and you need to bring your own corkscrew if you plan to drink wine. These are not criticisms, just FYIs.

Excellent location and value

property was lovely and very clean. mattress in master was not the most comfortable ever, but servicable. management company provided a wonderful list of suggested items to bring. was disappointed that there were NO hangers in any closet and no hair dryer - those items were not on the list to bring and to be honest, I did expect those items to be included. But could not ask for a better location, walk out to the beach. secluded street and mostly quiet - except for the construction next door. That would have been nice to know about in advance but didn't terribly take away from our enjoyment of the property.

Great Family Vacation!

We really enjoyed Sheps Ahoy! The house was beautiful and very clean. Just a few steps to the beach which made it very easy for my husband who has a bad knee. The living room and kitchen are very open which was very nice for our large group to enjoy each other! Loved the location of this house! We will definitely stay here again!

More Like Hidden Treasure!

This property was great for our weekend getaway. Super private location but still 15-20 minutes from town. Honestly this beachouse was actually better in person then shown in the pictures. View off the front porch was beautiful and a short walk to the beach which was practically empty. I was concerned about the driveway based on other reviews but it wasn't a problem at all. Communication between management was great. There was a charcoal grill left by someone on-site and make sure to bring bug spray.

Great time in Fort Morgan...

We have stayed in several beach houses in the Fort Morgan area. The check-in and check-out process at this one was probably the easiest of any we've ever stayed in! The location is really good... right across a deadend street from the beach. There is no beach house in front of the home so you get a direct view of the beach! The house was very clean and everything went as good as we could have wanted.

Excellent beach house

Our group absolutely loved the house and the close proximity to the beach! However there is little to no upkeep in regards to the driveway. It was completely covered in sand to the point that we had to get an SUV towed in order to get out.

Great location! Great house! The only negative was that the owner needs to maintain the driveway better. There was tons of sand on it and we had to use four wheel drive to get in and out. BUT, that wasn’t a problem for us. We will be staying there again!

The house was great. The beach is just across the driveway with a nice view. There is a small market a short walk away with reasonable prices since it’s about a 20 min drive into an area with shopping. The main reason for a four is based on the assumption there was a grill because the list of suggested things to bring included grill supplies. There was no grill.
