Fishing from the Dock
Property is small but just right for my husband and myself. Enjoyed our 6 days - we would come back. Enjoyed fishing and sitting on deck enjoying the dolphins and birds. Did see 2 alligators in the morning along the dock. The downside there is very little closet and storage space - so don’t bring many clothes - only 1 closet to hang clothes and no chest of drawers to store clothes. Outside dining area needs a fan - can get rather hot and steamy. Enjoyed our time and enjoyed and sunrises and sunsets.

Had Fun
Very restful, quiet area but close enough to go to Gulf Shores, etc. We loved the back porch and long pier. It was big enough for two people, the kitchen and bath rooms were very nice and supplied well. We will request it again

Enjoyable Stay
Pros: Size nice for two, semi-private location, fishing from dock, all kitchen appliances, outside grill, easy to find. Cons: Bedding cleanliness (lack of), uneven floor can pinch toes if not careful (yes, we read the reviews and understand why the floors are uneven and knew that before we rented, but a warning to future renters (watch your toes)), sand beach & bulkhead needs TLC, no lighting on dock, no way to get on dock if you fall off (no ladder/steps), sliding glass back door very difficult to open/close. Overall it was a nice stay and we enjoyed. Just a few things (mentioned above) that really need some attention. Would probably take a good weekend or two of fixing/adjusting things, cleaning up the outside, etc. That would make for a world of difference. And I would definitely discuss bedding with the housekeeper, it needs to be much cleaner. Also, low tide it is almost impossible to climb back on the dock without assistance if someone falls over. Can't really swim ashore on the property because of the bulkhead covered with barnacles... safety hazard. Need to swim two lots down to area with no bulkhead. Overall outside/beach cleanup would make a big difference and would be much more inviting.

Great Little Cottage
Place was just as described. Loved fishing from the dock, and we even caught a few fish. Clean and comfortable. Loved the old wood floors. Reminded me of my great grandma and grandpa’s floor. Brought back some great memories. Just peaceful and relaxing.

Peaceful and Qauint!
Super smooth process all the way through! Communication was perfect, home was as described. Very clean and everything we needed! Views of the sunsets were amazing! Peaceful and comfy! Close to the Fort, Tacky Jacks, Fort Morgan pizza and others. Trip to town was short if needed. All appliances worked great. The only “con” would be the sliding glass door was hard to open. This is so minor but I feel needs to stated. It feels very private and is enjoyable. The pier was sturdy and the bench at the end faces West: perfect for sunsets!

Perfect!
This property was perfect for our weekend. The cottage was exactly as described in the ad and the pictures were exactly what the property looked like. It was clean and very comfortable. I cannot describe how relaxing it was sitting on the porch and hanging out on the dock. Our Easter morning was amazing as we sat on the end of the dock and attended Easter services via our electronic device. What made it even more awesome was that within 5 minutes of arriving, we were greeted by a passing dolphin. We can't say enough about how much we needed this weekend and this property could not have been better!! Thank you!

Cleanliness
Your remodel and choice of decor is excellent! The cleaning company that you are using is not taking care of your property and it made the house seem different from the pictures. No one is changing the bed sheets/comforter or cleaning the tub/shower, floors. Also cleaning that cottage should take more than 35 minutes. I used to clean hotels and work for merry maids so I can tell whats up;) Otherwise the neighbors were nice and everything was as expected! You and your adorable cottage deserve better!

Glad that you like the home and decor. To my future guests - the guest arrived well before check in time of 4 pm and was upset that the property was not ready yet. Housekeeping prepared the home for them by check in time. Bed linens are always changed after each guests and the home thoroughly cleaned. Housekeeping also provides their direct number should anything be needed.

Relaxation by the Bay
This is such a sweet little cabin. We have stayed twice. Breakfasts on the deck are my favorite part; however, the addition of an indoor table was definitely welcome during a round of severe weather. The empty lot next to the cabin makes it feel secluded. It is also a great spot to watch birds and dolphins.

Mold Smells
This is our yearly trip to the Gulf and we were so excited to stay in this little bay front house with private dock. Check in was a breeze, pretty clean, the wood floors were a wreck and were so uneven but the mold smell was unbearable. I don’t know where it was coming from as we were not able to stay due to my wife’s allergies and asthma. Contacted the owner to cancel our trip and she argued that there was no visible mold and didn’t understand that mold can be airborne. I think her exact words were “Well it’s not my problem your wife can’t breathe.” I know she will dispute this because I’ve read a lot of these reviews. Called VRBO And they wouldn’t do anything because we hadn’t taken any pictures. If there is mold under the floors or behind the Sheetrock you won’t see it but you can sure smell it. I’ve been in the construction industry for 30+ years and this place needs work. We rented this house on good faith from across the country and showed up to a turd, with no plan B, had to get a hotel, and scrambled to find a new rental on short notice to salvage our vacation. Someone needs to be responsible for making sure the owners are maintaining the quality of these rentals. So at the end of the day we don’t get our money back because WE didn’t take the insurance and WE didn’t take pictures of mold you can’t see and WE didn’t take photos of the wood floors that are in disrepair. No consequences for these owners or VRBO, Renter beware

To all future renters please note the beginning of the description of our home - Restored tiny bay cottage with lots of character, amazing views, sunsets, and all of the comforts of home. We purchased this home for vacations and for others to enjoy. It was taken to the studs and back again; however, we purposely kept the floors refinished and varnished with the imperfections, as mentioned, as they are an antique pine. Otherwise, it has new insulation, roof, drywall, air conditioning, plumbing, appliances, cabinets, electrical, decking and pier. I hope you can read all other comments and choose to stay at our home. We visited the home along with housekeeping and our maintenance assistant saw/smelt no signs of anything indicated in this review. Feel free to reach out to me directly with questions prior to making a reservation.

Lovely property with great access to bay via dock. House is small but perfect for the two of us. Only problem was the kitchen pans were really unusable. One had burnt on food. We did go out and buy 2 fry pans and left them for future guests

Relaxing on the Bay
The property was great. Just as described. Perfect for my wife and myself. Great view of the bay and a great pier even though I did not get to use it much due to the weather (30+ mph winds). But that did not keep us from enjoying our time here. Shonna was great to work with as well and even helped us out when my wife had left behind one of her favorite necklaces. Shonna put us in touch with the housekeeping crew who had found her necklace and are in the process of getting it back to us. Needless to say I am very grateful for all the help from everyone and will definitely be checking on this property the next time we are planning a trip to the Gulf Shores area

Perfect Getaway
This was a romantic getaway for my husband and I. The location is prime! It is far enough, yet close enough to everything you want to do. The view from the back porch overlooking the bay is amazing. We started each day with a cup of coffee enjoying the view. Even though it rained one day, it was still so pleasant to sit out, listen to relaxing music and enjoy the scenery. The bedroom is small, but in a cozy way. We plan to visit this property again and have been so excited to tell friends and family about this wonderful stay!

Perfect spot for a couple’s getaway
The cottage was super cozy and is absolutely perfect for a couple to stay in. It was furnished with everything you will need. Kitchen had all the tools you will need to prepare meals. The view from the back porch was amazing for our morning coffee . And the wooden bench was wonderful for watching those stunning sunsets. We went to see the Fort that was only few miles down the road and the location of the cottage is not far from stores or restaurants. We absolutely loved our stay and if we are ever back that way we will come back to it !

The Perfect Getaway
This is our 2nd stay at this property. Half-way between Gulf Shores and Fort Morgan. 10 miles in each durection. Perfect getaway and so quiet. Perfect for a romantic vacation. Champagne and strawberrys on the private pier, fishing and crabbing if you are so inclined. BBQ on the deck bring your own and an immaculate cozy beach house for two. What else can you ask can you ask for. We loved it. R&R

Nice little cottage on the lagoon side
We really enjoyed this little cottage. It was just right for me and my wife. The furnishings were clean and relatively new. The floor has a "hump" in it, but that is to be expected in a remodel. I would not hesitate to stay here again, or recommend it to friends or family. The owner is right on time with responses to questions and was accommodating. We read the description, so were not surprised that we had to bring a few of our own supplies-not a big deal when you are away from home for a week. A heron came and watched me fish, and offered to eat anything I caught. We will treasure that memory for a lifetime. Thank you for letting us use the property!

Peaceful Paradise
This is a really neat camp house. One bedroom with a small open living kitchen space with a great covered porch that overlooks the bay. A great dock for fishing. So nice to rest and relax but close to other things too. We will be back soon.

Getaway Cottage
It is a quaint and private cottage on the bay. It has a great deck to sit out on and a perfect dock to watch the sunset. It’s only a few minutes to a public beach. Great accommodation for couples looking for some true relaxation.

Very private couple getaway
This cottage is perfect for a little getaway on the gulf. Bear in mind, it is a cottage, the floors are uneven and it's small, but it was perfect to sit on the back deck, fish, and watch for birds and dolphins. Very relaxing.

Perfect tiny secluded cottage for a couple or small family. Beautiful bay views with fishing off the long pier. Newer stainless appliances and very fast (350+Mbps) internet. Keurig coffee maker! Host is very responsive to any concerns or questions. Ideal quiet retreat for a weekend or week. Highly recommended!

Adorable little cottage with a beautiful bay view! Had everything we needed for a quick couple’s getaway. We ate close by at the Sassy Bass but also drove out to the FloraBama. Very much enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful stay!!!!
A great place to stay when in Ft. Morgan. It is such a peaceful and relaxing place, especially when on the deck or on the dock. Only a five minute bike ride to the Gulf, it was so convenient and fun. The whole experience was great, and Shonna was so nice to work with!! My wife and I truly enjoyed our time here, and we would definitely recommend to anyone who is interested in planning to spend time in this beautiful area.

Intimate, private, cozy and quiet
My wife and I were looking for a nice quiet, water side beach house and this was great. The porch and the dock are awesome. Sitting on the back porch looking out over the bay is wonderful. Plus we made friends with a local Blue Heron who likes to hang out on the dock. We made meals there for seven days and the kitchen had most everything we needed while there. A larger skillet or two would be welcome. Overall, this is a comfortable nice little house with a great beach vibe. We miss it already!

Small but just enough
This is what I believe is a old fishing cabin that’s been renovated. It’s a awesome little cabin, well worth the money. If you’re looking for a plush extravagant cabin, this isn’t the place for you. If you need a get away for a weekend or more, this is perfect. Great location, good fishing and very private. The check in/check out process is extremely simple and straightforward. This cabin reminded me of the cabins in this area when I was a kid and coming to the area just to fish with dad.
