    Enjoy a beachfront stay at Surf Side Shores 1402, a Gulf-front condo where the shoreline is just outside your door and Gulf Shores' top attractions are within easy reach. Watch the waves from your private balcony, grab fresh shrimp from a local seafood market, or plan your visit around one of the town’s beachside festivals. Whether you're sipping your morning coffee or walking to a nearby eatery, everything you need to make the most of your time on the coast is right here.

    What You’ll Love About This Space:
    This two-bedroom, two-bath condo sleeps six comfortably. The open living space flows directly to a private balcony, ideal for catching the sunrise or winding down after a day in the sun. The sofa pulls out into a queen-sized bed for additional guests. Meals are easy with a well-equipped kitchen featuring both Keurig and drip coffee makers, a microwave, toaster, and full-size fridge. A dining area for four, plus in-unit washer and dryer, helps make longer stays feel simple and convenient.

    The primary bedroom includes a King bed, flat-screen TV, private bathroom, and balcony access, perfect for starting your day with the sound of the waves. The second bedroom has a queen bed, its own TV, and a private bathroom as well, giving everyone a little extra space and privacy.

    About Surf Side Shores:
    Surf Side Shores is situated directly on the beach, with no distance between the unit and the shoreline. Just a mile from the main intersection in Gulf Shores, this location offers easy access to the best of the area. Local seafood favorites, live music venues, and coastal shops are all within walking distance. Whether you're grabbing a bite at a beachfront eatery or exploring the charm of small-town Gulf culture, everything feels close and easy here.

    During your stay, enjoy the convenience of beach chair and umbrella rentals through Ike's Beach Service. Outdoor barbecue grills are located by the flagpole between Buildings 1 and 2, perfect for casual cookouts.

    Guests have access to both an outdoor pool and a kiddie pool, ideal for relaxing after a day by the Gulf. From November through March, the HOA heats one of the two pools on a rotating schedule, providing a comfortable swim option during cooler months.

Perfect location. Not terribly busy in this area. Beds very comfortable. Could put canopies up between the two units. Elevators were very fast. Overall a great experience and will book again.

Room was dirty, damp, and musty. Bottoms of feet turned black after walking around for just a few minutes. Swing lock on door was broken. Dirty air vents, outdated, and just overall neglected. The photos made the condo appear much cleaner and larger. The only reason I rated as high as I did was for the ocean views.

Great week!

Our stay was everything we expected. The condo was very clean and just the right size for us and our 3 children. The view of the Gulf was amazing from both the master bedroom and the living area. The place was slightly dated, but has been updated enough. It was everything we needed, and we were very comfortable there.

One criticism is the garbage disposal doesn't work and the sink drains into the dishwasher and leaks out of the dishwasher. The appartmenr had an ac issue during the stay that was promptly resolved. The condo was pleasant. Easy check in, easy check out. Failed to let us know there was construction going on on Thursday when we got there. It did stop on Saturday, THANK THE LORD. we enjoyed our time. Will be back!

Unit has potential

This unit has a lot of potential for a being a small, but cozy, family or couples unit. The location is great, has great beach access and adequate parking. However, the whole unit needs to be updated. Make sure to personally contact the realty company about details before booking as the online description and information doesn't necessarily match up. With a a little TLC, this unit would be a perfect vacation getaway.

Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately we were not informed at booking or prior to check-in that there were multiple ongoing repairs, including a large hole in the tile on the back patio. The furnishings are old. Building is old and not well kept up.

Small but cozy

The pictures on the site are good. The condo is smaller than the pictures show. However, plenty of room for our family of 5. Kitchen and bathrooms are small. The couch pulls out into a bed. The view from the balcony was wonderful. I would suggest more chairs outside, preferably that rock. There was some paint chipping from the walls and leftover food boxes left in the fridge. Otherwise we didn’t have any issues. The pool was my youngest kids favorite. The water had a lot of seaweed but we still had so much fun in the ocean and at the beach. Plenty of food places around and we ate around 4-5 pm for dinner and never had to wait very long. I would suggest Desotos Seafood Kitchen and the Sunliner Diner.

Beautiful View - Condo needs Maintenance

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was the best! Condo: popcorn ceiling peeling in spots and ceiling was black where the vents were blowing out; musty smelling; bathroom caulk mold around tub and counter; ceiling fans had lots of visible dirt on them; coffee maker broken; kitchen light had to stay on the whole time we were there because after we turned it off we thought it was broken too but if finally randomly came back on; microwave front would fall off when opening door; and lots of tiles were missing on balcony but stacked in corner. Did not complain because I looked at Benders available rentals and they looked worse and weren't dirctly on beach. I did go buy cleaner and cleaned and left the door open 24/7 except when gone so we could breathe and air it out.

The view from the balcony was the absolute best. However, the condo was in need of attention. For the price paid, I definitely expected better. Balcony tiles were missing and stacked in the corner. Popcorn ceilings were coming off. Ceiling fans had so much build up of dirt, I had to buy cleaner and then vacuum the big dust bunnies that fell. Used the cleaner to disinfect everything else and try to rid condo of the musty smells. Bathroom was molded around tub and counter. Cabinet doors were peeling and bathroom cabinet doors were falling off. Coffee maker did not work at all. Kitchen light had to stay on the whole time because we turned it off and could never get it back on. So once it came on, we didn’t turn it back off. Also, it was annoying that we had to go out and buy toilet paper and trash bags after spending a fortune on the rental. I did not notify the rental company as it was last minute trip and I pulled up their other available rentals and did not want my other options as they looked worse.

The beach is pretty eroded in front of the condo so really nowhere to set up chairs and a tent. The water comes all the way up to the walkway. Pool was nice, location was nice. Would stay there again. The kitchen light probably needs replacing soon and the right side balcony door handle is very hard to open.
