The house and pool were very nice and suited perfectly for my elderly dad and dog. We did notice scuffs and chips on the wall, old towels that didn’t match the decor, no keriug or bar bq pit, the walls n borders were scuffed and chipped and there was a very moldy smell in the den. However, we weren’t bothered by all of that because it was a beautiful house. When we returned home I received an email stating there were crumbs on the counter and floor, the bedspreads were dirty, the dishes weren’t unloaded(yes, we saw the rules but we didn’t have time to unload the dishwasher we had to leave at 10. I thought it was acceptable that we washed them. Also, they stated towels weren’t washed. Which isn’t true because my husband texted the cleaner stating that all towels were washed and cleaned in in the laundry basket. We have rented over 10 vrbo and know how they should be left. We have never had this happen. They also stated that there was 1 puppy pad on the ground and the dog peed on the rug. The puppy pad is easy to pick up. The house was suppose to be dog friendly. My dog could have had an accident when we were leaving because she is elderly. I will own that. They said a pillow case was chewed on, my dogs are adults they don’t do that. When I told her that we left the house in an average use condition she forward me the cleaners text. It’s was so rude and exaggerated. She stated how hard the summer would be and we were the worse ever. She also said how she will need help she can’t get the house ready this summer. Which brings me to the bed spreads. There is no way bedspreads can be cleaned n washed in 4 hours. Since she was so out done that there were allegedly stained she wouldn’t have time. Don’t you wash these between guest!!! I told her these things weren’t true, but I did buy the vrbo insurance which would cover the rug. She cashed in the 200 from Vrbo plus still charged me. I’m not done with this because now I realized we were sleeping on dirty comforters. The owner says she charges a low cleaning fee but I payed close to 900 in fees when renting. These people are like a circus show! If you want to make extra money for the cleaner then charge more. There is no way one person, even if this place was spotless, could properly clean, cut the grass and take care of the pool and have things washed in 4 hours. We had average use. I’m disgusted at the the way these people talked about us and other guest. They have a good scam going.
