"We greatly enjoyed our stay. Our room was updated and very clean, although not a lot of lights (which I personally prefer), if that matters to you. Even the bathroom was quite dim. All of the staff were friendly. The restaurant staff sat us outside but warned us it was going to rain and they would help us move inside when the time came. We lucked out and it only just started as we were ready to pay. Our food arrived quick and was delicious. The gift shop is small but handy. We were happy to find Tylenol! The adult pool area has a hot tub, warm tub, cold plunge and pool, which is both indoors and outdoors. Can’t speak to the kids’ area as we’ve never been. Bar service is a nice touch. The only negative thing this trip was no signage regarding the lighthouse trail being closed. We made it to the halfway point, where there was a fence announcing the remainder of the trail was closed. (the light out is being repaired). Lots of mosquitos so remember to have bug spray if you plan to be out in the trees."

"Cabin is smaller than pictures make it out to be. We made it work as we had a group of 7 but a full group of 10 would be quite uncomfortable. Bedrooms were nice but its very hot in the cabin. Especially upstairs. There's a portable unit in the master bedroom upstairs but at times it would leak so we had to put a tray under the drain hose. Due to the cabin being so hot, our kids ended up sleeping in our room with the portable AC. The flooring upstairs needs to be replaced, it's broken with pieces missing. Grass needs to be mowed, there's some garbage like tires and metal in the bushes. Letting renters know that the lake isn't deep once you climb down the ladder would have been nice. On our last day we saw some other campers swimming in the lake so we then decided we would see for ourselves. Without a heads up there's no way of knowing how deep it is. Kids had a blast swimming. We walked north a bit and saw a trail. A nice couple let us take the trail down to the lake. They also gave us fresh garden veggies which was kind of them. A 20 minute drive north to pine dock gave us a beach to swim at. Spent a few hours there. Providing some better cookware like better frying pans and cookie sheets would be beneficial.The cabin could use a bit of a deep cleaning. Beside the stove specifically and the walls leading up the stairs. I think if you stay here in the fall or winter, it would be beautiful. During the summer with no AC was just unbearable. Overall, we had a good time."
