「This was a wonderful location for our family and dog to stay. The home was beautiful and the beach was lovely as well. It is quite a hike to the beach but there was a handy wagon there for our stay that we used to take things out to the beach. 」

「Recently renovated and very well done, this house has everything you need for an "up north" getaway. Plenty of great views and lake access, along with room for our off-road vehicles (3) in the massive driveway. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a getaway in the Secord, Gladwin, Houghton areas. 」

「Beautiful home, very clean, nicely appointed. Lot is large and private (except for kayakers and tubers on Saturday, which is fun and welcome). We have stayed here twice and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.」

「Very nice house in walking distance of downtown East Tawas. Great fenced-in backyard that our dog loved running around in. Plenty of space and comfort that put it several steps above an up-north "cabin" and made it feel a bit more like home. Host was very responsive and communicated quickly and clearly. 」

「Brett was a great communicator and very responsive to messages. Check-in was easy. The house was very clean & comfortable. The only thing that I want to comment on are the stairs. The stairs to the upstairs are very steep & the stair steps are a bit short. We navigated the stairs slowly and carefully, but if we had anyone older in our group, or with knee problems, it would’ve been a problem. Even with the stairs, we considered this a great property & had a great stay. Enjoy!」

「Great spot to relax on the lake!」

「Beautiful little cottage with an amazing view. Bring your fishing rods. We caught some fish on Lake Van Etten. We swam in the water which was nice. There are stairs to get in and out of the water and when you go out towards the middle of lake the bottom is sand. Bring a roku stick as cable is provided. Washer and Dryer. Large kitchen. Plenty of pillows, sheets, blankets, towels etc. The hosts are wonderful! P.S. the train comes 2x at night.」

「Good property, nice location. Everything was clean and very comfortable.」

「We thought we had the most comfortable bed at home but we found this property has the GOAT of beds. I need one now. Erin is super nice and helpful, she brought us a freshly washed blanket and a home made bath soap that smelled divine! Soft towels that actually wrap around the body, clean and comfortable linens.Beach towels that were better than the one we have.The apartment was so clean and I know clean. We plan to stay here on a regular basis when in Tawas for our sailboat.」

「Loved the location of this place. It’s where I love to be. The beach is so close and morning walks a treasure! The cabin is neat and clean and has everything you need. I have stayed twice and will return for a third trip!」

「The location was great and the cabin was perfect! If you're looking for a log cabin in the quiet woods on the river, this is it. It was spacious and comfortable and impressively clean! The cabin had everything we needed, too. The shower water pressure was great. The only negative of our trip was the insane brood of mosquitos! But there's nothing that the host can do about that and it's to be expected given the woods and water. We went to Meijer and got yard spray and sprayed it all around and it...
