Large holiday home set across from the beach

Spend time with family and friends at our property on the stunning Kaikoura coast. We are 15 mins north of Kaikoura and right beside a large stream which is prefect for swimming (and a rope swing into the fresh, clear stream) and right across the road from the Pacific ocean. There is an awesome outdoor entertaining area complete with an undercover outside fireplace. Perfect.
The house has a large kitchen with a sea view, a log burner, lounge with a smart tv and five bedrooms. Four bedrooms have a queen bed and the fifth bedroom (bunkroom) has a set of single bunks and a double bed with a single bunk above.
A short walk to the world famous Nin's Bin serving fresh crayfish, fish and chips.
Across the road to the beach is a great area for snorkeling, especially for children.
Our property manager, Barry, lives next door to BaseCamp.

Great property for bigger groups

We were amazed at the lovely grounds and spacious house. As we had a gathering of our adult children it was lovely to be able to spread out but gather under the large under cover outdoor area. We played pingpong in the game room, hung out next to the river but mainly used the house as base camp to explore the region. The garden is big and secure, so doggy could run free. The garden also supplied us with veges, lettuce cherry tomatoes, spring onions and more. (I wish my tomatoes grew that well) The pantry was well stocked with herbs and tea. I had serious doubts about the proximity of the train and highway but we hardly noticed it as we mainly hung out to the back with views of the river, forest and mountains.

Beach getaway

The property far exceeded our expectations. Amazing place, very unique with so much character. Nestled in the bush with epic swimming hole, ocean views, and huge covered outdoor area and fireplace. Super easy check in and friendly property manager. We'll definitely be back. Thank you!
