“Negatives: The checkin information came the day of the stay and the check out information the day before; no welcome manual with how to use heat, whether there was AC, etc; microwave did not work and the door to the porch was broken; bedrooms were extremely small, barely enough room to walk around them; the layout of the place is awkward; no counter space to cook and no oven to cook in; the refrigerator was across the room; no containers for food prepared; no scissors; no beach blanket or……

“Our host, Yolanda was wonderful and quick with communication. The cottage was adorable, clean and had all of the amenities that we needed. We can't wait to return on our next visit to Half Moon Bay!”

“My group of four ladies had a fantastic weekend stay! Clean, orderly lodging. I got the top bunk, very comfy. Weather was on the cool side, we all took full advantage of the hot tub. Charming property, beautiful yard with plants. Loved the ocean view from the top deck. Quick drive to downtown half moon bay. Even faster drive for breakfast at The Pilot Light!”

“The home was exceptionally clean and cozy. The layout was perfect for all 8 of us. The kitchen was well equipped. We had one issue with a wall heater that was promptly addressed by the owner. The location was fabulous. There are terrific hiking trails within walking distance, and the gorgeous Montara Beach is just a short walk away. It was a perfect getaway!”

“Communication with the host was excellent but below are a few items that need to be addressed.Was not what I expected. While the bedroom size was nice, the kitchen and living area were much smaller than anticipated. There were also several safety concerns, including multiple electrical outlets missing covers and no visible fire alarms. In addition, the kitchenette electrical system appeared overloaded — using more than one appliance at a time risked tripping the circuit breaker.To top it off,……

“Good property parking limited didn't realize that the door to the duplex was in the. Rear, but not a problem. Once we found out, it was communicated that it was a duplex grounds in the back could have been manicured better, a lot of cracks in cement, basketball hoop was not on the ploe, there was a large gate that had to be moved to get to the rear and the washing machine dryer and ironing board was in a separate entry from my door outside. dwelling was clean. all of the basic needs available……
