“when we first arrived at Halo Homestay - we were concerned because it was not in a very nice area. We didn't realise how big Halong Bay city is. we were expecting sleepy little fishing village!! NOT!! there are 2 distinct areas 1. locals 2. tourists. This homestay is in the locals area. Its not a pretty area by a long shot but our lovely host Hien made up for it by taking us on a tour to one of the most beautiful temples I have ever seen. she gave us a free tour of her hometown and we felt very……

It offers an excellent base from which to enjoy and discover the beautiful out of this world scenery of Ha Long Bay. that said, the schedule of activities could be better managed.”
