「When i pulled up there were homeless people around the outside of the building. There's only 2 ways to get to the rooms and both stair cases are by the exit doors. No elevators. The room smelled musty and gross. The bathroom wasn't very clean and the towels need to be replaced. The bed was very comfortable and that was the best part of the entire room. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I felt very unsafe and left to go to another hotel for the duration of my stay.」

「Due to a flight and a long drive from ORD, I arrived at the Carmel ESA around 3:40 AM. There was a phone at the door, so I picked it up and dialed 1 for check-in service. It was a pleasant experience—the ESA service lady came out and opened the door to assist with my check-in. Thank you, ESA!」

「The food was mediocre at best. Great atmosphere but felt the food did not meet expectations at all. They need a better menu with fresher, better prepared food. Pork tenderloin felt processed and dry. Shrimp cocktail felt not fresh and sauce was mostly ketchup. Buffalo dip was pretty good. The chips were the best thing on the menu. Bar staff was nice but not very attentive.」
