Tranquil lake front cabin on Black Lake

This amazing 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom cabin on Black Lake is ideal for a summer vacation or fishing trip. The primary bedroom is large with wonderful lake views.
The second bedroom is smaller and the third bedroom is a single.
The cabin has air conditioning for those occasional sticky days and a whole house generator if, for some reason the power goes out. There is also a washer and dryer and extra refrigerator located in the garage.
There is a large three season porch with terrific water views, a deck with Adirondack chairs and a private dock (for Memorial and Labor Day stays....the dock goes in May 23 and comes out September 6).
In addition, there is a propane grill and propane fire pit.
Can accommodate up to 5 adults.
There are nearby marinas for boat rentals along with a variety of local activities.

And for an amusing look at the history of some Black Lake cabins, just check out the garage which was made from wooden ammunition boxes purchased from Fort Drum for a nickle a piece!

We loved our stay from start to finish. The lakeside setting with lovely view is wonderful in itself and we also enjoyed the property's proximity to the home of family members. It was clean as a whistle, and decor, amenities (including a well-equipped kitchen and outdoor grill) were much appreciated. We were also grateful for thoughtful touches such as storage bags for food, plenty of paper goods, and more. The collection of paperback and some hardbound mysteries and other books were also a treat. The owner is very responsive and communicative, too.

Very Nice Trip

I rarely fill these out but this house was so clean and well organized it deserves a review. The owners reallly put thought into guests staying in this house. We lacked nothing and spent 3 relaxing days by the water. Good fihing, quiet and just a very nice place.

The hosts are very responsive and prioritize their guests enjoying their stay. When we encounter the slightest glitch (TV having issues, needing an extension cord, fireplace not starting up) they respond immediately and resolve the issue quickly. The view from the deck is beautiful. It is the most fully equipped vacation home rental we've ever stayed in. There is truly nothing you could need that they don't provide. They provide so much more than many hosts in terms of linens, toiletries, cleaning and cooking basics, etc. The living room is incredibly comfortable and cozy with a huge sofa, fireplace, and wall-mounted large TV. The full size washer/dryer are so excellent to have; we can cut our packing in half because of that. The staircase is unnerving as it has no banister to hold onto. Also, there is a big opening at the top that cuts well into the landing that's actually scary because in the middle of the night, going to the restroom, you could easily fall right down the stairs forgetting about it since you're half asleep in a place you don't "know in your sleep." We actually block it every night with the fold-out cot that is stored right next to it. The house is set in a very friendly and very private "peninsula community" of a few families. Everyone is very nice but they also let you have your privacy, so it's a great combination. It's very isolated but there is an excellent small market/deli less than 10 minutes away. If that's okay for you, you will love this place.

Memorable Family Vacation!

This house exceeded every single expectation. The house is warm, welcoming and feels truly like home. It was clean and honestly had everything you could possibly need from beach towels to shampoo and conditioner in the showers and the perfect pantry staples. We stayed as a family and enjoyed cooking breakfast and dinner in the kitchen, sitting outside by the lake, and our girls fishing off the dock. The owner was close by and available for any questions and was very friendly and welcoming. Everything was perfect and it was a place that quickly felt like home, which says a lot. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a truly special family vacation!

First-Rate Beautiful Cabin, Gorgeous Setting

We could not be more thrilled with our stay at this gorgeous lakeside cabin. For starters, from the moment we booked, the hosts communicated very well with us and were very friendly and helpful with all of our questions. Then we got there, and we could not believe the beautiful craftsmanship of the cabin. Every detail so well thought out and perfectly designed and built. The woodwork and tile work are amazing, Every room extremely well stocked from linens to toiletries to kitchen items to basic food prep necessities, etc. The sofa in the family room was so incredibly comfortable. We have never stayed anywhere that had such a comfortable sofa. It always seems that comfort is a problem, but not here! Not only was the family room super comfortable, but the chairs in the sitting room were so comfortable you could sleep in them and they had a direct view of the lake as well. The lakefront deck with Adirondack chairs was amazing. We spent all almost all our time there. You could move into this house and not have to buy or change one single thing, it is so perfectly set up and stocked. Highlight....outdoor shower!! LOVED IT. The people in the small compound of homes are all really friendly and welcoming too, which was a very nice bonus. A fireplace, fire pit, Weber grill, full size washer/dryer, and even a spare full size refrigerator in the garage were all impressive and experience-enhancing extras. We immediately booked another stay for next summer and can't wait to get back!!

Excellent Stay on Black Lake!

A most excellent home rental and a great get-a-way! Probably the best appointed home we've ever stayed at and very clean. Everything clearly marked with simple instructions for getting in as well as packing up (no list of 100s of things to do before you leave). Kitchen is not big - I love to cook and was surprised it had everything I needed and then some. Also has a Keurig with plenty of coffee pods. Lots of games available and the Roku TV set up for you to log-in to any of your streaming services. Wifi is strong. Plenty of bath and beach towels, paper towels and TP, bedding was comfortable and there were extra blankets available, laundry in garage was wonderful to have (and plenty of laundry detergent). Views were outstanding - the lake is just gorgeous. Master bedroom is large with beautiful views. The other 2 bedrooms are much smaller - one with a double (no windows), and one with a twin - both very small but comfortable. Outdoor shower was a delight - if you've never used one you are in for a treat! Plenty of room with 2 full baths for us and another couple - 5 might feel a tiny bit tight but still good for sure. Owners were available and responsive. Overall I cannot say enough about how great this rental was - if you need a getaway to recharge and relax, this is it.

Terrific lakefront cabin

We were very pleased with Breezy Retreat’s proximity to the lake, and the view from the porch was phenomenal! Fishing was good as well. The cabin was very well appointed with all expectations met or exceeded. The owners have put a lot of thought into the design of the cabin, and it shows. Thank you for a wonderful long weekend!

Cozy Cottage on Beautiful Lake!

We had a fabulous time at Breezy Retreat! It was a cozy cottage on a bay with a fantastic view of Black Lake. The cottage was very clean and supplied everything we could have possibly needed. We appreciated the a/c units with the temps in the 80's. Also, it was nice to know there was a backup generator. We appreciated the history of the cottage. It has been updated with exquisite craftsmanship and unique details. We loved the sunroom which offered views of the lake. There is also a nice dock to observe nature and the activity on the lake. The fishing is excellent. We would not hesitate to book this place again. The owners have done a great job!

Great Stay at Breezy Retreat
