Amazing Zen-like backyard. Good location

We stayed at Jerry's property for our extended family summer vacation. There was plenty of room for everyone. The backyard was amazing. It was great having breakfast out on the patio. The location was quite good. The beach was a less than 10 minute walk from the house. Jerry was very helpful in providing recommendations to area attractions and restaurants. We'll definitely be back at some point. Thanks Jerry!

Lovely house with gorgeous unique outdoor space

My extended family of 13 (3 generations) stayed in this house for a week. The location is great, just a 10 minute walk to a lovely mostly-empty bay beach, under 15 minute drive to the ocean beach. House itself is great especially the kitchen and living spaces, but most of all the incredible backyard. Calling it a backyard doesn’t come close to doing it justice. It is more like a secret paradise, complete with cafe tables, waterfalls, ponds, meditative sitting alcoves, beautiful flora, birds and lovely evening lighting. We spent as much time out there as we could. However, although the listing says 5 bedrooms, it is truly only 4 bedrooms. There is an additional room with a door that closes and a sofa couch, but it is an office — not a bedroom. The sofa couch is quite uncomfortable. I strongly disagree with calling this a bedroom. The basement is a good space for kids, with several extra couches and a small space for them to play board games or just chill out. The last thing renters should know is that the owner is on the property every day in the morning, watering plants and taking out trash. This is fine but if you value your privacy and might, for example, want to sit outside for morning coffee in your pajamas, in the otherwise private garden, you will have an unannounced visitor every day. We did not know this beforehand and were a bit taken aback. Overall we spent a lovely week in this house and had no major issues. Again, the outdoor space is fantastically beautiful and the nicest we have ever come across. It’s worth renting this house just for that!

Quiet and Restful

The property is located in a quiet and peaceful part of Hampton Bays with a shoreline access to a serene bay front area. The house was well situated for our family reunion. We had visitors while there and all enjoyed the amenities very much as well as the family.

We had an amazing stay at Jerry's property! Jerry was such a great host--very easy to communicate with and so knowledgable about the area. Jerry even gave us a tour around the area when we got to the house. The house itself was spacious and great for 2-3 families that were there throughout the week. The kids loved the bunk bed room in the basement, and there were pull out beds and lots of sleeping options throughout the house. The house was very close to the bay beaches, and about a 15 minute drive to the ocean beaches. The house had beach chairs, blankets and some towels as well. The pictures do not do the outside grounds justice--the landscaping is absolutely gorgeous and Jerry takes great pride in the upkeep, ensuring to come by every morning when he was in the area to water the plants and check the fountains. There was a small grill, fire pit and plenty of outdoor seating options. We would highly recommend Jerry's place and look forward to vacationing there again!
