FALSE LISTING. Two women stranded in Hanoi, 11:30 PM
For several days before our arrival, I sent multiple messages, through Vrbo, AND the host’s website email to the host, asking for entry instructions. No response. We were in Japan and I had no way to call the host. So I did several long live chats with Vrbo asking them to actually CALL the host via telephone because I was suspicious of them not responding and nervous about being able to get in as we were arriving late at night. VRBO CHAT said they would not call but the would email. I said we had already emailed but they said they could not call him. When we arrived at hanoi airport we still had no entry instructions or any communication with the host or VRBO. I bought an E-Sims and called the ‘host’. I got a Vietnamese man who said “This apartments is not for rent. I keep telling the company, but they won’t take it off their website.” The man who sold us the Sims helped us get a reservation at a hotel. I went to the property the next morning and spoke with a man who said all the apartments were rented.
