“When we arrived, it was later in the evening. We were excited to be up north and meeting friends, and admittedly we were in a hurry. The breakfast sign-up policy was explained, and unfortunately we forgot to turn in the breakfast form by the 8 p.m. deadline. I texted the host to apologize and explained that my husband and I are not picky eaters at all and would be happy with anything — we just asked if he could surprise us with breakfast at our already scheduled 9 a.m. time. We were told instead……

“Our hostess was very friendly and helpful. The property definitely needed sprucing up. There was much peeling paint, big water stains on the ceiling and the exterior looked very neglected. The bathroom was very small with a high bathtub that was tough to get in and out of. It was an old house, on a nice corner. But, we were a bit disappointed.”
