Check THIS one out! What a spot! Situated almost at the tip of the peninsula Gun Point on Great Island, this location offers spectacular views of Casco Bay. Facing southwest, one can behold outstanding sunsets behind Orr's and Bailey Islands across Gun Point Cove, and admire the vastness of the open sea of Casco Bay beyond, all while soaking in the warmth of the setting sun. The 3 bedroom well kept cape is on the ocean's edge. The movement of the tidal waters will soothe and relax you making your getaway one you will not soon forget. For children of all ages, the bathing cove, formed by the ledges and right in the front, offers great fun for swimming at high tide and exploring tidal pools for sea creatures at low tide not to leave out the collection of seashells of all shapes and sizes. And for the older, experienced swimmers, there is a dock occasionally shared with owners for deep water swimming during any tide. It is a very quiet spot yet close to public beaches. Sight seeing drives through quaint coastal towns is a must. You will not be disappointed. Come and experience what living on the Maine coast is all about!

This is such a lovely location and we enjoyed our time there tremendously! Listening to the tidal waters is so relaxing and exploring the private little "beach" area when the tide is low results in some beautiful finds of rocks and shells. We saw Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Great Blue Herons, and a lot of Cormorants and we enjoyed watching the lobster boats check and refill their traps each day. Liliette is a gracious host and a clear, prompt communicator. We look forward to another visit in the future!

We had a wonderful visit at this house. The views from the top floor bedrooms, as well as from the living room and deck are just spectacular. The fridge -- and this is not always true at rentals - was absolutely spotless when we arrived. The "dirt" road is actually rocky and takes a little getting used to, but we improved our time each drive! The family who owns the property was wonderful, and they share the little cove with you.

The house was amazing and Liliette was a wonderful host. We enjoyed talking with her and her sister-in-law. House had everything we needed and location was great. Very quiet area. Everyone stayed on the deck most days. It was about 2 hrs from places we like to visit yearly in Maine. Will be staying at this place next year.

So peaceful
Our family had a lovely time at this house. Everything was as advertised, and we had no big surprises about the house and its environs. To be noted…the 1.5 dirt road to access the property is challenging. Work is being done to solidify the road. This involves hand size rocks placed to provide a more solid base. Challenging to drive in a low riding car or for someone with back problems. This is truly a lovely place and well worth coming!

Beautiful, relaxing location
Our family had a wonderful time in Harpswell and will gladly return if we're able to arrange it! The location of this home is beautifully scenic and though other homes are nearby it always felt nicely private. Watching lobster boats troll nearby to check their traps daily, sharing space with sea life in the tidal pools, and enjoying the seclusion of coastal Maine living all combined to make out time there a great reprieve from normal day-to-day responsibilities. Liliette was a gracious, friendly host, informative but never intrusive, and communicated promptly in response to any inquiries. Thank you so much for a very favorable experience!

Great Ocean Views
Excellent location on Gun Point Cove. Beautiful views and sunsets over the water. Enjoyed peaceful mornings sipping coffee on the deck. Fresh seafood available within a short drive.

Restful property with plenty to do nearby
Comfortable accommodations, welcoming host and beautiful location for family and friends.
Farmers markets, historic towns, music, theater, hiking, kayaking and other activities nearby. All kinds of shopping, tours, and entertainment are available in Portland, an hour away. A little further south there’s outlet shopping at Freeport. We have stayed here for years and plan to continue.

Beautiful views and great shelling
This was a very clean, tidy, and lovely home on the rock cliffs with its own swimming hole at high tide. It was convenient for shopping and visiting quaint gift shops. Sunset views were phenomenal!The owner is very friendly and helpful with answers to our questions about local places to visit. I would stay here again in the future.

Beautiful Views
The house was welcoming and right on the water. The views were amazing over the water. The beds were comfortable. We launched our kayaks from the dock. We found seaglass in the tidal pool and waded and swam during high tide. The deck was large and had plenty of seating.

Beautiful view/Great property!
We had a fabulous stay sipping hot tea each morning on the deck overlooking the beautiful waterfront. We also enjoyed launching our kayaks from the dock and swimming off the dock. Liliette was kind and helpful to answer any questions we had. It’s a gem!
